Oh no, not one of those stupid introductions!
Oh yes, one of those stupid introductions! I'm Nuki. If you see a username somewhere on a site and it has 'Nuki' in it, there's a good chance it could be me. Although I'm actually only active on a few sites like Fanfiction and Livejournal, plus a couple more. Generally I spend most of my time writing (huge shocker there) or posting on the GW forums. Yes, I'm your typical anti-social manga geek, I admit it loud and proud. I also have a love for bacon and butter, the two foods that are the most dangerous for your heart. Luckily I'm quite tiny for my age :P But that's enough about me, I'm not all too interesting anyway.
Writing?
Yep, I write. While I still have to question the quality of my work, I've been told I'm good. Really that decision is up to you and your standards and preferences and stuff. As far as genres go, right now I'm in the dark angst/gore area, but there are also a several splashes of romance, at least in my most recent work. And really the dark romance is what I like. I can't stand high school drama scenarios, your typical boy meets girl stuff. For me, when it comes to romance I really want to see strain and pain in the relationship. And not just the fact the boy can't control what's in his pants or the girl has all these rivals. So I do like romance, but I like it dark and cold. Okay, occasionally I like the fluff. I'll admit to that, but still. You should be able to get my point.
So there you have my preferences and stuff, but what about the actual material? Well my creativity and devotion have been put into a story I call Headset. Being straight up honest, I love this story. I love its plot and characters. It makes me happy inside c: And due to my short attention span, Headset will be the only story I'm writing until I finish. Because I absolutely cannot work on two stories at once. Eventually I lose interest in one of them and only focus on the other.
Dare I ask?
Original idea occurring to me sometime back in 2007, I lost interest in the story until February of 08. Since then I've worked long and hard on Headset. In the process, I've grown more and more obsessed with it. When I began, I wanted it to be divided into four parts, however recently I've been considering shortening it to three. That is still undecided, but it is certain that there will be at least three parts. In case you haven't noticed, the plot is rather large.
In a very general sense, Headset is the fictional tale of a girl name Ayaka and several people close to her. Part 1 tells of how she met Kaito, Akashi, and Sakio, three boys severely abused by their father, and strived to befriend them. Part 2 continues a few months later with Ayaka now very close to the boys, only to realize how little she knew about them. A lot of action occurs in this Part and several new characters are introduced. Part 3 focuses on the pasts of the characters and involves many flashbacks. And if I decide it, Part 4 would be the ending. LoL even though I'm far from the end, it always make me sad to think about :c
Is it actually popular?
Surprisingly, yes. I've received a generous amount of lovely fanart for the story. There are too many people to list, but thank you all who have drawn me my characters :D it makes me so very happy. I've got a photobucket account where I put the fanart, but it's PW protected. So if you'd like to see some of the characters drawn out, simply drop me a message and I'd be glad to send you the link.
Also, thank you to everyone and anyone who supports the story. Especially a big thanks to my 8th grade Language Arts teacher. Without her, I seriously doubt I would still be working on Headset today. She was the best.
Updates?
I'm horrible with keeping up with these. Instead of saying, chapter _ up, I'll just say that Part 2 is being written and that generally my updates are pretty steady except for an occasional quicker or slower chapter.
