"Why would we want to go back? We're right here in the mists of our deepest passion."

The quote is from a story I wrote with my friends, it's on the joint account, there's a link to it below. I'm still being lazy about typing up my story too, but that's not new. XD

This is just my little part of the world, my small page in a large universe were we all are born, were we all live and were we all die. It is the place were I can put down all my dreams, share my love for writing and met new people who live and think like I do.

The Reign of the Demons

The Dog Princess:

Night Shadow was the leader they all could all love and look up upon. She was the wings of the people and the fire in every heart. Her two children were always beside her and they too were ones that the crowd bowed before. But Dakin Storm, still smoking from the death of his only love is determined to destroy Night's race the dogans. When he kills the dogan queen herself he doesn't realize that a strange force will rise up against him. There is the young woman who turns her back on her entire family to do what is right, a human man who finds himself caught in a whirlwind of magic and two races that no matter there past disagreements find themselves working together. And in the mist of it all is a new evil approaching that none of them, neither hero nor villian could ever imagine!

Forever to the Last:

Success doesn't lie with how well you can fight. It lies with trust, family and friendship, the only things that keep the world turning. With the reveal of Vampeth's identity in the open, things don't look good for Moon, Ceila and the rest of the army. Dakin Storm realizes that he must do more then just say he's sorry, instead he has to prove that he can be a valueable ally, not just in the battlefield, but in the heart. Then Ceila is still hanging onto life by a thread and Thomas feels that all he wants to do is love her even though her heart clearly lies elsewhere. But for all of the, the time of the demon rule is drawing to a close and if they want their lives to stay the same they all will have to put their feet down and fight until the end.

"With me, who will come with me!" -General Lewis (Lo) Armistead approaching the stone wall during Pickett's Charge

"Generals can do anything. There's nothing so much like a god on earth as a General on a battlefield." -Colonel Joshua Chamberlain to his brother Lt. Tom Chamberlain

"Now let's go surprise Harry Heth." -General John Reynolds to General John Buford

"To be a good soldier you must love the army. To be a good commander you must be able to order the death of the thing you love." -General Lee to General Longstreet

"There are times when a corps commander's life does not count." -General Winfield Hancock

"I have told you there is no time for that, there is no time!" -General Lee to General Jeb Stuart upon Stuarts return to the army

"...if you look to our left, you will see that there is no one there. It's because we're the end of the line. The Union army stops here. We are the flank. Do you understand, gentlemen? We cannot retreat. We cannot withdraw. We are going to have to be stubborn today." -Colonel Joshua Chamberlain to the 20th Maine Regiment on Little Round Top

"Winn was like a brother to me. Remember? Towards the end of the evening, things got a little rough. We both began to... well, there were a lot of tears. I went over to Hancock. I took him by the shoulder. I said, "Winn, so help me, if I ever raise my hand against you, may God strike me dead." Ain't seen him since. He was at Malverne Hill, White Oak Swamp, Sharpsburg, Fredericksburg. One of these days, I will see him, I'm afraid. Across that small, deadly space. I thought about sitting this one out. But I can't do that. That wouldn't be right either." -General Lewis (Lo) Armistead talking to General Longstreet about his close friend Winfield Hancock who wore the blue while he wore the gray.

"No! Not both of us! Not all of us! Please, God!" - General Lo Armistead upon finding out that Hancock was hit just as he was.

"What? Do you mean charge?" -Captain Ellis Spear to Colonel Joshua Chamberlain at Little Round Top

"Well, if he's an angel, all right then... he damn well must be a killer angel. Colonel, darling, you're a lovely man. I see a vast difference between us, yet I admire you, lad. You're an idealist, praise be. The truth is, Colonel... There is no "divine spark". There's many a man alive of no more of value than a dead dog. Believe me. When you've seen them hang each other the way I have back in the Old Country. Equality? What I'm fighting for is to prove I'm a better man than many of them. Where have you seen this "divine spark" in operation, Colonel? Where have you noted this magnificent equality? No two things on Earth are equal or have an equal chance. Bit a leaf, not a tree. There's many a man worse than me, and some better... But I don't think race or country matters a damn. What matters, Colonel... Is justice. Which is why I'm here. I'll be treated as I deserve, not as my father deserved. I'm Kilrain... And I damn all gentlemen. There is only one aristocracy... And that is right here." points to head "And that's why we've got to win this war." -Sergeant Buster Kilrain to Colonel Joshua Chamberlain

Favorite Quotes from stories I've written with my friends:

"You are alive because your heart has not ceased to beat, nor your lungs to breathe."

- From Beyond the Stone Wall (RebelYellers account) Written by my friend Dana, who writes good old George Pickett.

"Yes, do tell George, where do you come up with these things, these magic entrances when no one knows you're in hearing distance and just the way you word things in general! You've got all of us curious if I must say so."

George raised an eyebrow, smiling benignly. He placed a hand on Ave’s shoulder. “Colonel Mulligan, the explanation is quite simple,” he replied. “Experience is the mother of reason.”

-From Beyond the Stone Wall (RebelYellers account) Written by Dana (Pickett) and myself (Ave Mulligan)

Brown studied the two for a moment. "Truth be told, gentleman I never thought I would see this." He gestured to their uniforms. "I have never experienced war like this, not against my neighbor." He sighed, "I am an outsider, as an army man I do what the books tell me."

-From Beyond the Stone Wall (RebelYellers account) Written by Nurf (Jacob Brown), a fictional character who taught at the Point.

One last quick note:

To anyone that really knows me, you will know how much history is a part of my life. It was the story of Chamberlain that first made me realize how interesting history really can be. That's why I would like to share this brief story with all of you, because it is important and I believe that everyone should know it. On July 2, 1863, Colonel Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain was placed on the left flank of the Union Army during the Battle of Gettysburg. He was told to hold to the last, no matter what happened. And he did just that. The Confederates charged up Little Round Top time and time again, and each time Chamberlain's men turned them back. It was towards the end of the stream of attacks that they ran out of ammuation and knew that if they stayed there was no way that they could hold them again. And so what did Chamberlain do? He did something that none of his men or anyone around him expected. He ordered a bayonet charge right down Little Round Top, forcing the Confederates back and saving the day for the Union. It was for his actions that day that earned him the medal of honor years later.

You know you live in 2009 when...

1.) You accidentally enter your password on a microwave.

2.) You haven't played solitaire with real cards for years

3.) The reason for not staying in touch with your friends is they don't have a screenname or my space

4.) You'd rather look all over the house for the remote instead of just pushing the buttons on the TV

6.) Your boss doesn't even have the ability to do your job.

7.) As you read this list you keep nodding and smiling.

8.) As you read this list you think about sending it to all your friends.

9.) And you were too busy to notice number 5.

10.) You scrolled back up to see if there was a number 5.

11.) Now you are laughing at yourself stupidly.

12.) Put this in your profile if you fell for that, and you know you did

Girls
are like
apples on trees.
The best ones are
at the top of the tree. The
boys don't want to reach
for the good ones because they
are afraid of falling and getting hurt.
Instead, they just get the rotten apples
from the ground that aren't as good,
but easy. So the apples at the top think
something is wrong with them, when in
reality, they're amazing. They just
have to wait for the right boy to
come along, the one who's
brave enough to
climb all
the way
to the top
of the tree

This is so cute and true!

I sit alone thinking of you
and all the things we've both been through
You are my soul mate, my very best friend
and I know you'll be there until the end

Your shoulder to cry on will soon be gone
who will be there when something is wrong
When times are tough you're always there
It shows me just how much you care

Although were going separate ways
you're in my heart till my final days
Nothing can make a person see
how special a friend you are to me

I dreamed of a friend just like you
and finally my dream came true
Nothing else could ever fulfill
everything you're friendship will

You understand a side of me
that no one else could ever see
You know whats wrong before I cry
but if I do, you will always know why

A friend like you is hard to find
you put my problems all behind
You were there when no one cared
the best times were the ones we shared

We've been together through good and bad
you made me laugh when I was sad
And no one else could ever be
as good of a friend you are to me

Our time together is wilting away
more and more everyday
But now until the very end
you'll always be my special friend.
