I like writing, reading, watching tv (mostly anime), and one of my most favourite, staring off into space. You should try the last one. It's a really good way of passing your time. Not joking, by the way. If you're staring off into space, then your mind goes all empty, except for occasional thoughts and feelings. I always use this when I'm plotting a story, or if I just want to think with my eyes open.
I generally write one-shots, because when I write long stories, I get distracted and never finish it, or I keep on changing it, which results in me having to re-write the whole thing.
