Well here we are...
Given the very notable fact that my pen name is not my real name, which was given to me by two people who barely knew me at the time and gave no consideration as to my own opinion on the matter (am i beginning to ramble? ...) I guess you can't really expect me to put down my life story here in any great detail. Not because I'm not a particularly trusting person; it's just that it would be a bit contradictory to do so.
What I will tell you is about the part of me that obsesses about writing all the time... Ok, so that's most of me, but still...
I've been writing fiction on a regular (read permanent) basis since year 11. I did some writing before on and off for school and just on a whim, but year 11 english class is where I caught the bug; much to the chagrin of my english teacher. That was about five years ago now. Since then various things have jumped out to impede my path: the need for money, quiet suggestions that I should go to university and make something of myself, and walls. Mostly brick, but occasionally stone to mix things up a little.
While for the most part I write Fantasy, I have dabbled in Science Fiction, Political and Military Thrillers, Historical Fiction, Satires... so a reasonable variation in genres. During my university studies I have subjected myself to writing Poetry; Screenplays for Television, Film and the Stage; Short Stories; Non Fiction Biographies, Memoirs and Newspaper Articles; as well as a number of other styles. But for the most part, I work on my Fantasy Novel. (Is it just me, or do I use a lot of unnecessary capital letters??)
Oh yes, I should probably mention that I am studying Creative Writing at University. Not for any particular reason; only that the degree gives me ample time to write stuff that I want to write, with only the occasional inconvenience of assignments and exams. It is a very good thing to study by the way. You should all consider it.
So, in conclusion, I am a 22 year old Australian Fantasy Writer working his way through his first novel. I do realise that someone who has been writing for five years should be further along in his/her work than I am, but I have a number of excuses. Most of them don't apply to my writing, but I still have them. I keep them in a box.

P.S. And yes, I know that it is both strange and annoying that my pen name is the same as one of my characters. But you try living with someone in your head for this long and not take on some of their personality.
