Background: Three years ago Ly was saved from insanity by his older brother Tristan. Ly had been out of control, feeding off anyone who crossed his path. Tristan pulled him back from the edge and covered up his crimes. Now Ly has an intense hatred for humans, resenting them for being free while suppressing his kind. He is also addicted to blood, craving it constantly (unlike most vampires who only need to drink it to survive). To counter this he smokes, drinks a lot of coffee and alcohol and eats a great deal of chocolate.
Tristan Aleron
Age: 29
D.O.B: 7/7
Hair: Black
Eyes: Dark Green
Race: Vampire
Background: Tristan is Ly's older brother and the head of the Aleron family. Both he and Ly are aristocrats, giving Tristan a leadership role among vampires. He is a firm believer that humans and vampires can and will, one day, live as equals. He is also the leader of the peaceful coexistence movement, founded by his parents. He is extremely protective of his younger brother and likes to keep an eye on him at all times.
Rome Armida

Background: Rome came to the city from a small country town to attend university. She has found the change in scenery somewhat depressing as city people seem a lot less friendly than what she's use to. Rome's family are well off and her parents were against her going away from home for an education, fearing that the city was too dangerous for her. She gets lost easily and is constantly dropping things and running into people. She is rather shy and dislikes this about herself, feeling that she is missing out on life.
Melissa Scott
Age: 20

Hair: Dark brown
Eyes: Brown
Race: Human
Background: Melissa is a second year university student who takes some classes with Rome. The two became friends rather quickly, with Melissa helping Rome out as much as possible. She is a little protective of her friends, considering Rome's safety to be her responsibility. She doesn't like to be corrected or ignored and feels that things would be easier if just done her way. Her father is a well known politician who is strictly anti vampire and she seems to share his views, making openly anti-vampire comments and expecting others to feel the same way.
Cassian Varro
Age: 28
D.O.B: 11/6
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Brown
Race: Vampire
Background: Cassian is a friend of Tristan's and had been living in the Aleron family home for over four years, since before Ly came back. Tristan considers him a second in command for the peace movement as he is almost as dedicated as Tristan himself.
Tricia Anqustias
Age: 27
D.O.B: 21/4
Hair: Blond
Eyes: Blue
Race: Vampire
Background: The Anqustias and Aleron families have been friends for generations, both holding aristocratic blood. Tristan and Tricia have had an arranged marriage since they were children, and they have never shown any dislike for the situation. On the contrary, Tricia has always been very devoted to Tristan and his peace movement.
