Don't mess with the English freaks; they will haunt you in your sleep.
You can call me a nerd or geek, but that's either your insecurities or your own jealousy speaking for itself. Sure, I'm smart, but being an intelligent individual doesn't make someone geeky or nerdy; quite the contraire. Being smart generally means you perceive the world, whether it's book smarts or street smarts; these are skills that are necessary in life.
As may be expected, English is my favourite (and normally my best) subject; I don't really care for the others. Will math get me anywhere? Unless I plan on writing a book about algebra, no it will not. Do I care about science? Not really. I can deal with world history, maybe it's my second-favourite subject. But I stick to English.
I'm actually working on a book, but it's definitely in hiatus; I've been writing it since early sixth grade, around three years back, and I've been stuck for about a year now. I spend most of time writing depressing poetry (most of you have already noticed) or else nit-picking others on their work; editing is quite a hobby of mine. Plus, being English-obsessed makes me want everything perfect when it comes to writing, so if I read your story, beware. Being English-obsessed, however, does not make me perfect by any means -- nobody is perfect. If I make a few mistakes here or there, don't be surprised.
Don't mess with Harry Potter. The series, I mean; you can do all you want to Harry himself. I've read all seven books, been a huge fan for years now, and even though I'm disappointed with the last book (and have gotten bored with the series), I can say that I'm still a fan. Severus Snape and Albus Dumbledore are my all-time favourites; Snape was awesome for quite some time now, and Dumbledore is the essence of elderly greatness. I really do hate how everyone's surprised about JK Rowling's announcement; some people actually started hating the book because one character is gay, and no one actually knew this until the book was over. Oh, and the fans who started hating the book? They obviously weren't real fans to begin with.
And then there's Inkheart; that book is amazing. Cornelia Funke, whom I had never heard of before, is an astounding author. So is CS Lewis, the classic author of the Chronicles of Narnia series. And Rick Riordan, who wrote the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series; you've gotta love Greek mythology after that, right? I'm sure there's loads of other book series I love, but I can't think of them right now. Kind of makes me wonder whether I really love anymore books or not.

Thanks to everyone who favourited and commented on my poems -- it really means a lot to me! I'm very modest when it comes to my work, so I'm always nervous to put stuff up. I guess it's just easier whenever I'm using an alias. So, yeah, thanks again everyone.
For those of you interested, I'll be working on two "projects", one of which I'm still debating whether or not to write. The one I most definitely will be writing (and hopefully not sucking at) is a one-shot, but that's all you're hearing from me; it's my first one-shot I've written in years, and I want all the constructive criticism I can get. Flamers shall be laughed and put on the embarrassing spotlight; you have been warned. Don't expect this mysterious one-shot for another week, at the very least, because I tend to get lazy with my writing. Plus, I have to make sure it's perfect, right?
