Author has written 35 stories for Fantasy, Love, Song, War, General, Nature, Humor, General, Friendship, Politics, Life, Supernatural, Young Adult, Haiku, and Family. Hum. Well, here I am. I am Rae, which is not my real name but honestly who would use their real name on the internet? Silly geesies. Anyway, I mostly post poetry. I write many other things (rants, stories, useless blurbs, lists, monologues, a novel which has been collecting dust because I haven't written in it in over six months) but for some reason my poetry is the only thing I deem worthy of public viewing. Oh I've posted a couple other whoosy-ma-jigs but you'll notice that the bulk of my work is verse. haha that rhymes...sort of. You'll notice that I am easily amused. Extremely. Easily. Amused. It's almost a curse. But then, laughter is good for the soul so I really don't mind. In person, I am reserved by nature, silent by choice. I don't open up to people easily. I am awkward in the extreme and often have little to say. Maintaining a conversation is a difficult task for me and I usually find the end result extremely unsatisfying. Writing is much more distant and yet...more personal. My interests are varied. Obviously I like to write but I also love theatre. I have seen many plays and I am in my school drama club. I am more of a tech person than a performer, but I do enjoy being in the cast as well. I also play guitar...I am no Jimi Hendricks and I don't claim to possess any talent whatsoever but I enjoy it. I like singing (my voice is passably pretty and I can carry a tune but again, I claim no talent and I bow to the likes of Idina Menzel and Gerard Butler). I've been told that I am a talented writer and that I could go far with it if I had the patience for revision and spellcheck. I don't though. For me, writing is a purge, a vent, a safe haven for me to empty my brain. I entered contests (and won a few times) when I was younger, but having my work judged and critiqued has lost its appeal. I write for myself. Obviously any feedback from you is cherished and loved but I do not require it. I merely like to know what people are thinking (one real talent of mine which I acknowledge is my ability to read people and understand what they are feeling...and in some cases read their mind, but that only works when I am face-to-face with someone). So if you have anything to say to me (even just "you're an insane lunatic. never write anything ever again!") please feel free to talk. I like listening and when you are done speaking I will respond.
