The Exploding Ant (one-shot) - One I wrote a couple of months back. Probably the only old piece of writing of mine that doesn't make me cringe.
Nothing special 'bout me... I'm just another amateur who writes for a hobby but I take every suggestion and constructive criticism into consideration. Just because I write for fun doesn't mean that I don't want to improve.
I listen to a wide range of music -- indie, classic rock, classical, international, hip hop, folk, some pop... my current obsession is Eivør Palsdottir. When I write, I listen to movie soundtracks, particularly tracks that have little or no lyrics. I tend to sing along when I hear lyrics, so songs that have them are terribly distracting when I write. Instrumentals are great -- they pack so much emotion, and if I listen to the right song that fits the mood of what I currently write, it acts like super fuel. :D
I have a terrible case of bad-boy syndrome... assholes are just much more entertaining to read and write.
Clichés? In my opinion, almost every story these days is a cliché. Originality is a rarity. That's not entirely a bad thing though. Just don't ask me to read a story in a high school setting, because most likely, I'll refuse to read it. Quite frankly, I've grown out of the high school phase ever since I graduated high school. So uh... sorry to the majority of writers here on Fictionpress that write them. I'll read what ever else is thrown at me though.
Hmm... I'll add more when I can think of anything else. Oh, and reviews are loved. :)
