Hi, My name is Laura. I'm a novelist. A poet. Just an everyday person, learning through mistakes and triumph. And expressing it through writing. I write just about anything but am a little bit shy about sharing. I am a complete sap and love my romance, but a part of me is completely twisted (hence the name) and so I also have a passion for horror. A combination of the two is fiction heaven. I am also hugely interested in human emotions and the complexities. I plan to be a psychologist and understanding how people work is what really gets me thinking. I have read my share of shallow or entertaining stories, which I have enjoyed, but now I'm much more into works that are deeper. I have a pretty good mix of both under my favorites list. I do enjoy more stories, but I am always hesitant about putting unfinished stories up. I would hate to recommend something that won't be finished. (I do on rare occasion though) Aside from my massive reading habit I am extremely into music. I listen to anything and everything. To me, music and writing are the ultimate releases. I can't write without music.
In my humble opinion, a piece's quality does not depend on its length. A piece can be 80 Chapters and be meaningless if it doesn't speak to your soul. On the other hand, a one paragraph work can move you. Always choose thought-provoking and true over popular and wanted. Write for yourself, not for your readers.:)

I do believe in constructive criticism, so please do critique. Please do not completely bash my work. Even critics correct or insult in a meaningful way; not senseless insults. Do not expect me to even read through or listen to flames, because flamers are (to me) jealous people who don't have talent themselves. If you have something nice to say- definitely say it. If you have something useful, I encourage you to say it even more. If you want to flame, don't waste my time or yours.
And if you want more people to read/review your stories, feel free to ask. I read as much on here as I write. (Probably more) I am more than happy to read your story. If I feel it's worth my time- I'll review. It won't all be nice though, but if you want constructive criticism then hit me up. My reviews are usually long unless I feel you have it together. So be prepared for an in depth analysis. But, honestly, if I don't see any improvement, don't expect me to stick around.
I do plan to beta once I qualify.
