About the Writer

Benjamin Weller-also known as "Spinner" online-is a writer currently studying for his bachelors in Professional Writing from Champlain College. He has written three novels as practice, including drafts of both Hellion and Shadower (completed in 2005 and 2006 respectively), and several short stories. He is currently experimenting with the internet as a means of publication.

Among Ben's sources of inspiration are the works of Hayao Miyazaki, Phillip Pullman, Matt Page, Ridley Scott, Fred Gallagher, Orson Scott Card, Herman Melville, Nathaniel Hawthorne and Yoshitoshi ABe. He is also inspired by music, mental images and really random dreams.

When he isn't writing, Ben is either making lattes at Starbucks, puttering about in Adobe Photoshop, or banging his head to some kind of metal. His vices include music, sushi and hot-wings, techno-gadgetry and Wikipedia. If he wasn't a writer, Ben would either be a musician or an airline pilot.
