Author has written 2 stories for Historical.

Teenaged; Polish, a twin and an aquarius. Unlike many authors will reveal in their bios,
I do not live with a husband and a boatload of cats in some sleepy little place
with a name you quickly forget.

Neverwhere, The Picture of Dorian Grey, the Dress Lodger, Oryx and Crake and The Strange Case of Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
are my hands-down favorite reads and hopefully my influences.

Pretty much all my fiction takes place in the past: in more decadent and conflicted centuries that
to me seem both softer and more rigid than our present times. I've recently been interested in
writing not huge epics, but more personal tragedies about the patterns our lives take on
and the tension that can, unavoidably and irreversibly, creep in and invade our relationships.
I'm also interested in using fairytales and impossibilities to add a sort of surrealism and mystery
to everyday settings. One of my favorite subjects is childhood.

1. The Wolf of the Woods
During a summer untouched by a distant war, a boy swallows a little lie. Now as his body changes inexplicably, and as the cannon-fire approaches, the fiction that thrilled him as an awed boy strangely mirrors the truth that will haunt him as a trapped man
