"Literature, the most seductive, the most deceiving, the most dangerous of professions."

- John Morely

If there is one thing I've learned about writing, it's this:

Everyone sees the world differently, and often times it is unfathomable.

What they think and what they feel is very different, and what they write, well,

that's always an unexpected and often truthful revalation of character.

Writing has a way of inspiring me,

and I hope that others will aspire to

share in the joy of it.

Thanks for reading.

Music:

Classic Rock is the Best! I love the Beatles, ABBA, Aerosmith, AC DC, The Beach Boys, Boston, Bon Jovi, Bread, Bryan Adams,

Chicago, Cranberries, CCR, Don McLean, The Doors, The Eagles, Guess Who, Guns n' Roses, James Taylor, Journey, Kansas,

Paul McCartney (with Wings), Phil Collins, Police, Proclaimers, Judas Priest, Ramones, Skid Row, Steve Miller, Styx, Supertramp,

.38 Special, and of course, U2.

I am also a Modern rock/ alternative fan. Its all about The All American Rejects, The Adored, Dashboard Confessional, My Chemical

Lerche, Landon Pigg, Maroon 5, Matchbox 20, New Found Glory, 3 Doors Down, Plain White T's, and Yellowcard.

Plus I like old style music, like Norah Jones and Micheal Buble.

And lets not forget all of the various Country artists and Classical composers that I am to lazy to add in here.

Books:

I like anything that is adventure, suspense, drama, fantasy, and mystery as long as there is a little romance thrown in. (I am a girl)

I recommend:

The Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer

The Thief trilogy by Megan W. Turner (These are books that I could not put down.)

The Sheik (old school book published in 1920, but some of the most amazing writing ever) by E.M. Hull

Any of Shannon Hale's books (I especially like The Goose Girl, Enna Burning, and Princess Academy)

Sorcery and Cecilia or The Enchanted Chocolate Pot (This is a collection of letters written between two authors - Catherine Wrede and Patricia Stvermer)

The Grand Tour (Written by the above authors.)

The Giver and Gathering Blue by Louis Lowry

The Blue Castle by L.M. Montgomery (wrote Anne of Green Gables, which is also excellent.)

The Princess and the Hound (have to check on author)

Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones

Keturah and Lord Death is perhaps one of my most favorites. The writing is beautiful, and it flows very well.

Quotes:

"Forbidden to remember,

terrified to forget.

It's a hard line to walk."

- Bella in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight

"You'll forget what I said,

what I did,

but you won't forget how

I made you feel."

-Maya Angelou

"All art is a kind of confession,

more or less oblique.

All artists, if they are to survive,

are forced, at last, to tell the whole story;

to vomit the anguish up."

-James Baldwin

“We work in the dark, We do what we can,

We give what we have, Our doubt is our passion,

and our passion is our task, The rest is the madness of art.”

- Henry James

"Love is the delightful interval between meeting a beautiful girl

and discovering that she looks like a haddock."

- John Barrymore

"I always read the last page of a book first so that if I die

before I finish I'll know how it turned out."

- Nora Ephron
