Author has written 17 stories for Fantasy, Haiku, General, Nature, Life, Humor, and Love.

Summation

I am a male human being, between 10 and 100 years of age and educated to a level between Middle School and a Masters Degree. I greatly enjoy writing of any and all varieties, and have written several Fanfiction stories for the sister site FF.net under the penname Zoray Zorial. I have only recently begun to produce original work of quality worth sharing, and thus have decided to do so.

I am a bibliophile of the highest order. I am always reading something or other, and seem to consume books at a prodigious rate. Mostly, I read fantasy and science fiction, including authors such as Christopher Paolini (Eragon), R.A. Salvatore (Forgotten Realms, Drizzt Do'Urden), Terry Brooks (The Sword of Shannara), J.R.R. Tolkien (The Lord of the Rings), Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman (Dragonlance), Simon R. Green (Deathstalker), Spider Robinson (Callahan's), and Piers Anthony (Bio of a Space Tyrant).

I also am an otaku. Some of you may ask what that means. Well, I won't pull any punches here. It means a fanboy of anime or manga. The fact that I even use the term should be an indication of how much of a fanboy I am. As of now, I am held spellbound by what is, in my opinion, the greatest anime ever created: Neon Genesis Evangelion. I'll force myself to stop here, else I will be unable to shut up about it.

My penname's origins can be traced back to the game called Tales of Symphonia. I am an unrepentant RPG addict, and personally consider the 'Tales of...' series to be the pinnacle of the genre. Great news! Direct from Nintendo Power, Knight of Ratatosk is coming to America as Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World! It's the only Tales game to have a direct sequel, and gosh darn if it doesn't look incredible! For those of you that care, voiced skits! The affection system! More cinematics! Non-chibi characters with motion-capture movements! Everybody but Kratos playable! (Don't despair, he's the narrator, and bound to show his face eventually!)

Like I said...there's that otaku ranting thing right there...

A final note on my writing style:

Exspherius' Observation of the Fiction Writer:

"A blank page induces a blank mind."

Corallary:

"The more ideas a writer has, the harder it is to express them."

Stories

Nightblade - A short story about a samurai, inspired in part by Rurouni Kenshin. An experiment in descriptive language, done as an entry for a literary magazine contest.

Reflections: A Haiku Anthology - A collection of Haiku poetry, written as inspired. Generally focused on emotional themes or character traits of people.

--------------------

More to be written when I find the time and inspiration.

Until tomorrow, ja ne!
