Hey, so my name's smilesforluck, and I'll never ever tell you my real name. I originally decided to come on fictionpress because I was looking through my computer files and realized how many started stories I have and never finished, as well as the many ideas I had. I realized that I could actually do something useful with these ideas - turn them into stories. And thats why I'm here.
I'm an extremely weird person once you get to know me, although I seem quite normal if you don't. I mainly write romance because in a way its one of the easiest concepts to write about - just two people (sometimes more) falling in love. None of my stories are complete (yet). Sue me.
I LIKE: rainy days and snow days, scary movies, the holidays, my besties, romance songs, music, school, soccer, dogs, cats, pandas, comedy movies, stand-up, laughter, smiling, nice people, generosity, Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series, Harry Potter, OTH, Friends reruns, Family Guy, inner beauty, individuality, difference, love, happiness, life.
I DISLIKE: preps, bullies, egomaniacs, disorganization, procrastination (even though I do it sometimes), pro-wrestling, gossip, hate, war, frowning, selfishness, liars, theifs, cliques.
MUSIC is my happiness
DANCING is my escape
DREAMING is my fantasy
BREATHING is my neccessity
WRITING is my passion
more about me:
I'm considerably tall, yet also quite short, depending on who I'm standing next to. I have blond hair, blue eyes. I also have terrible vision, although I will never wear glasses. I am quite a good student, mostly because I'm somewhat of a perfectionist (according to my friends) and will stay up till eleven if I have a test the next day. I love writing, as well as soccer, reading, doing dumb stuff with friends, and watching movies. I play piano and trumpet and have played clarinet in the past. My closest friends are probably the coolest people on the face of the earth, and they will always help me, although they joke about me and bully me (lol, just kidding). I'm not a dumb blonde, although I'm somewhat klutzy. If I could be any animal, I'd be an eagle. That's about it.
FUTURE PROJECTS
As soon as I finish "Welcome to My Life", I want to start a few new stories (apart from the ones already posted below). Here are some of them:
One Summer in Texas:
Suddenly, despite my protests, my mom decides to send me to Texas for the summer. Before you know it, I end up getting thrown off a horse, breaking my leg, and falling for the owner of said horse. Add in a crazy grandfather, wacky cousins, and tons of drama, and you get what ends up being the best summer of my life. (YA/Romance)
Jamie Addison's Guide to Life, Death, and the Crazy Moments in Between:
It all fell apart when my grandma had the stroke. They suddenly decided I needed to be shipped from nice, happy Wisconsin to sunshine-y California, to live with my estranged mother. Then I meet Rob Wesley. The problems start soon after. So what's a girl to do? Well, I started a guide. It's about life, death, the moments in between, and how to survive them. Or try to, I guess. (Romance/YA)
How I Spent My Sixteenth Summer:
The minute Casey Atridge starts Wakanoo Camp, she knows things will be bad. Four thousand miles from home, in the wilderness, with nothing but bitchy platinum blonde girls around her, she's completely alone. So she turns to Greg the counselor, who encourages her to open up to the people around her. Casey takes up his challenge...and is surprised with what she finds. (YA/Romance/Adventure)
Purple Tiger:
Kira is a troubled Japanese girl with no past, no future, and very little present. She lives in the alleys of Tokyo, salvaging what she can to survive. So when she meets Dreamer, a secretive orphan boy, Kira is excited to be pulled into an adventure with him. However, the mystery and intrigue doesn't stop there, as Kira learns about the Purple Tiger Clan, her connections with them, and the key to her past that could very well end her life. (Adventure/Romance)
Ever After:
What if the slipper didn't fit? Would the evil stepmother prevail? Would the stepsisters rule over the town? Would Prince Charming find his perfect princess, or would he miss and end up with someone completely wrong? And most importantly, would Cinderella still get her shot at Happily Ever After? (Fairytale Romance)
When You've Got Forever:
Lise is horrified when she learns that the Earth is about to blow up. Her planet, her childhood, her life, all of it will be gone in a second. That is, until she's sent off to the world of Nantar as "Project 109", where she is supposed to live the rest of entire life. Lise, however, isn't intent on giving up so easily, and soon, along with six others just like her, she is on a mission to save the Earth, the human race, and most importantly, her life. (Science Fiction)
Perfection in a Man:
I thought this kind of thing only happened in the dumb romance novels; you know, falling in love with a robot. To make things worse, he's my dad's old experiement - one to test whether or not humans and robots could live together. And he's perfect. Right now, I'm thinking giving up on men would be a good idea. There's only one small problem: I'm already in love with him. (Romance/Science Fiction/Adventure)
