I guess the reason I write the stories I write is because I wish I had that kind of life, in a way. I wish that I had a guy who would care about me and for me in my time of need and I could do the same for him. I wish I had a guy who loved me for me and I wish I had a guy that was sweet and funny and strong and confident. I don't necessarily wish that my life were as depressing as the main characters but i do wish that I had a guy like she does. I know there is always that part of the story, the main character is always in distress about something but I guess I just don't see a person getting their happy ending unless they can live a life completely opposite from a happy ending. You have to be able survive on your own in the real world and be hurt before you can have that happy ending. Well, at least to me, and who knows? I could be very wrong, but that's why I write the stories I write.

Jamie hates Christmas time, all because here mom is a drunk her dad left her, and her uncle died at war. It's time for her to go home, where she hasn't been in almost 7 years. What's the worst that could happen? She could run into her first love, or an old friend, and maybe find the real meaning of life in the process.

Beg

What do you do when a gun is pointed in your face and the only thing you can think of is that your life is over and in the next few minutes you will be dead? For Jamie, at least, that's all she could think about in those few minutes that the gun was pointed at her. The gun was pointed at her and then to she was was asked to beg, to beg for her life and for the life of the man she loved. What do you do when you are asked to beg for your life? Do you beg for it? Do you just accept that you won't survive? Or do you secretly wish that someone will come to your rescue?

Death. What is it? Is it a person? Is it a thing? Is it evil? Is it good? Does it kill? Can it feel? Erika doesn't know the answer to any of those questions, but what she does know is that death hurts more than life itself. At least to her it does.

Christopher Parker is starting his fourth year as an advanced art teacher, teaching everyone around him, and not just his students. The difference between Bella and Christopher, besides their age and experience, Christopher has already learned about himself and about love. Marc's father died in the field, his mom couldn't hold herself together and fell into a massive depression where she couldn't function for 3 years, and when she came out she moved them somewhere new. Marc doesn't have much, all he has are two sister and a mom who is trying to survive.
