Poll: Wait... What? poll. Who would you choose? Do I even really need to ask. This will stay up for the remainder of my rewrite in its honor. Or possibly because I'll forget that its still up... like last time... oops. Vote Now!
Author has written 12 stories for Young Adult, Life, General, and Humor.
The name acatsrain has nothing to do with cats. The word 'acat' means truth in a book I read once (you won't find it either so don't try) and the rain part. Well I just like the rain; it could also mean reign, which would implicate that I was saying the reign of truth and I like that.
Personally I think in real life this is the kind of things that gets ruined; no such thing as true love, or romance, or soulmates and I also think that in fiction we should be correcting the cracks in our realty and making it better. Why do you want your imagination to match what sucks in real life? So though in my ordinary life I think loves overrated and teenage swooning girls talking about marriage to their high school sweet heart is stupid (sorry if you are an exception to this but come on... most aren't) I read books about love and happily ever after because I know it can work out on page, unlike... most of the time... in real life.
Skow stands for Some Kind of Wonderful. On it you have a time period to nominate stories you like (all romance except the one nonromance category) on fictionpress. Or other places if you'd really like.
If you don't want to nominate then the period after that is where you can just vote on the stories already nominated.
I think the nominations almost up... so the voting should begin soon. :)
But mostly, if you'd like to find stories to read on here this is a great site to go to. They're on their nineth round and all the stories in the prior ones are still up and listed. You'll be entertained for at least an hour... if not weeks more.
I consider plagiarism a huge offense. An offense I've never quite understood the logic of, quite frankly. There is nothing satisfying about getting compliments on work that doesn't belong to you. It’s kind of like stumbling onto someone else’s review page and pretending like those reviews are yours. What's the freaking point?
Plus, you've got to understand. People who love to write breathe it. It’s their life. Their identity. And when you impersonate something they've written you might as well be impersonating pieces of the people you're stealing from.
I put my soul in some of the things I write, because I need to make sense. Or say something. Or be real.
