Author has written 5 stories for Sci-Fi, General, Life, and Fantasy.

I'm a twenty-year-old college student. I love science and I love to write. I'm passionate about politics and religion, but I won't state what my views on those matters are. I hate to talk about either of them because it seems that those kinds of conversations can drag on for hours, and people usually only talk themselves in circles.

My inspiration comes most from the author Richard Preston and his ability to have expanded his knowledge so greatly by nothing more than his own perseverance. I am also inspired by Tolkien, but then again, what writer isn't?

Now, some of you might be wondering, "But it says you've been a member for nearly two years... why did you wait so long to post anything?!" Well, the answer to that is simple : I didn't wait, I simply trashed everything I previously had on here. I wanted to start over so I took some things I had been working on and put them up to replace some of the stuff I had forgotten. Think of it as a sort of Spring cleaning... err... Fall cleaning, I guess... I also changed my pen-name. Maybe you know me, maybe you don't. Think about that, huh? Ooh, creeeepy.

I would really appreciate some criticism on anything. Be harsh, be honest, be whatever. If you hate it, tell me. However, if you love it, tell me that, too! We're all writers, and, as many of you know, one can only look at their own writings so many times before he or she becomes completely numb to the errors, which is why I love this site so much - it gives us all an opportunity to find fresh eyes to help us along. Anyway, if you review one of my stories, I will of course return the favor and review one of yours. Honestly, I just think that it should be common FP etiquette to return a review if someone reviews something of yours. I will say again, because I cannot stress this enough, I would like my readers to know that reviews and criticism are very much appreciated.

Stuff On This Site

1. Remember Tomorrow
Chapter One

This is a prologue to an on-going story of mine. It somewhat follows the lines of a post-apocalyptic thriller, but not exactly. If I continue the story, I'll post the rest of it. This chapter (or prologue) in particular follows the process of an injured man's growing consciousness, first starting with his awareness of a headache, then his other senses come back to him. He wakes to find that he is aboard a plane which has crashed and it seems that he is the only survivor. I had a review on this story that said the reader was 'a bit grossed out.' Just so ya know, that's exactly how I want you to feel ;)

Update - 10.07.09 - I added a few things to the first chapter. I'm still trying to make the guy more emotional or whatever. Lemme know if its working.

Update - 10.06.09 - Added a couple of lines to the second chapter. I keep getting told that I need to add more emotion to the piece, but damn if that's not difficult. I'm working on the third chapter but I'm afraid I'm about to get a case of the dreaded Writer's Block. Ugh.

Update - 09.28.09- Posted the second chapter. Found a few errors in the first chapter, I fixed those as well.

2. Just Us in Here
Short Story

This is a short story of a young man who has holed himself up inside his apartment. His friends are worried about him, his parents are worried about him and most of all, the doctors are worried about him. He has a past of being mentally unwell, but he thinks that he is fine. Will the few days within his apartment reveal anything that he may have been keeping secret from himself? Personally, this is one of my favorites. I don't do one-shots very well, but I kinda like this one. And honestly, I have no idea where it came from =S Oh well. Enjoy!

Update - 10.07.09 - Fixed a few typos. Oops.

3. Flowery Eyes
Poem

This is a poem comparing season's effects on the earth to the life of an aging woman as described by her friend. When I was a freshman in high-school, my English teacher entered this poem into the national MLA competition where it won first prize and earned an honorary mention in some magazine or another. I had several other poems that were entered and won various other awards, but they have since been lost in the terrors that are my apartment, filing cabinets and closet.

4. This Land is Our Land
Prose / Short Story

This is a piece of prose that I wrote as an introduction to another one of my stories. Originally, it had been a prologue to a post-apocalyptic world, where that home was being cleaned and well maintained by the last man on Earth. However, I ditched the story when my back-up failed me and I lost all two-hundred pages. ~cringe~ Anyway, I remembered the opening and thought that I could rewrite it and keep it as a sort of memorial. Here it is. Now, it's just a metaphorical, political, short little thing. Oh well XD

5. Dark Intentions
Prologue

This is the story that's giving me the most problems. I don't write fantasy well, and its showing. I'm trying though, but if anyone has any suggestions, let me know. Anyway, here's the scoop: The Dark Lord has taken half of the world under his throne, but in the East, The Order is rising. Full of cold and heartless mercenary assassins, they plan to free their sister territories and avenge their fallen families by overwhelming the Dark Lord's armies and, eventually, the Dark Lord himself. Lexon was sold into The Order at a young age and is a veteran of the art. He was ordered to take young Arkon under his wing and teach him the way of being cold, being ruthless, and being the best killer that he could be. This is their journey; this is their story.

Update - 09.25.09 - fixed a few typos that I had missed during my many proof-reading sessions. There are probably more, and I'm sure I'll find them eventually.
