Author has written 3 stories for Love, Thriller, and Mystery.

This is a bit of an experiment. The stories below were started with the help of friends, and I'm attempting to unify the points of view and complete several works in progress.

I habitually chase rabbits, often running from one plot/story to another as ideas strike. Lately though, I've felt a need to revisit a few creative attempts and I'm hoping this forum will push me to find the endings that often elude me.

ISLE

This piece began as a co-written role play with my friend Nefertiry (also here on Fiction Press). In later chapters the plot line bled into the horror genre which suits me. We reached a point of actually writing out one character and it will be interesting to see if the rewrite ends with a plot about surviving, or something else.

GHOST WRITER

First person perspective for a change of pace. I originally had a prologue, but did not post it here, hoping to increase the suspense aspect. I might change my mind on posting it later.

I've tried this plot a couple of times and and a couple of ways. The honest truth is that Chapter One's initial scene was real for me one morning. Since my nightmare's really aren't the topic of fiction, I used Nef's Glass Coffin http/www.fictionpress.com/s/2397736/1/The_Glass_Coffin as the underlying plot. Trouble is that when the two of us go 'dark' it gets creepy very fast - more than either of us can really handle. We'll see if I have the stomach to allow this to become the therapy piece I leaned towards. Rating may change to mature.

Random comments:

1) I edited chapters 1 through 5 on April 27, deleting nearly 1000 words in response to reviews that it took a bit too long to get to the good stuff. Chapter 5 is a "vacant tab" - if you stopped reading prior to Chapter 5 you might want to re-read the last chapter you stopped on because the breaks are now different/merged.

2) Musical references:

Chapter 7 radio: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daAZuVyjBKU.

Reader recommended theme song for the work: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/a/anberlin/reclusion.html

3) Thanks to Lefty for the suggestion on Chapter 10. On May 10, I added a little more dialogue with Kate to give us an "eye witness" at the theater. The edit's not so substantial it needs to be re-read if you've already perused the chapter, but it will be referenced in Chapter 14.

Reviews and opinions welcome. Be warned, I will take your suggestions seriously and likely will incorporate your ideas within days if I agree with them.

~gasp~ comments used - yes.
