Author has written 2 stories for Fantasy.

09/04/08 My cry out to all of you out there.

I'm not whining and being a review whore when I say this, because I'm saying in general. To all of you, about every story. It is a point that I've been meaning to make for a while, and god knows it erks me that much.

People, this is a site where we put up our own, original work for the enjoyment and critic of others. This only works if we ourselves hand out reviews to all the other authors starting up here. There are far, far too many stories out there-especially in the fantasy section-with one chapter and no reviews. It's common curtesy to tell an author what you thought of a piece you have read, otherwise. What bits you liked, what you didn't like, it's not that harf to provide a small smidgen of insight that could greatly benefite the authors. If you don't give out, how can you expect anyone to do the same to you?

Do you know what else this does? If you review in a constructive, intelligent manner, it gets your name out there with some positive light, saying 'I take this writing thing seriously'. It doesn't have to be an essay. Just two or so lines is all it takes.

In addition, if someone reviews your work, go check out theirs and return the favour. Its polite, and it encourages a sense of community that this site really lacks when compared to others such as fanfiction(and if anyone else has come from there you will know what I mean.)

This is my two cents, and a policy I try to stick by as much as possible. What goes around comes around, people, and in this sense it benefits all of us.

Name: sckry

Country: Australia

Occupation: Student studying a Bachelor of Arts.

Favourite books: 'Oryx and Crake' by Margerate Atwood, 'Sabriel' by Garth Nix, 'The Ill Made Mute' by Cecilia Darthorn

Current Projects:

'Eariee'

For lack of a better title, I've labled it the first thing I thought of. This is a sort of 'realistic fantasy' set in future London, taking its inspiration from old folk tales from the British Isle's. It has been a long time in the making, in regards to concepts and plot, and I'm working VERY slowly on it.

Basically, I'm here for any opinions, advice and critic that any one can give.
