Hello again; Chris Rhyanne here.
So, school has started, and my constant typing may be slowed a little bit. Normally, this would not be such a big deal, but last year I only had science club. Now I'm on the School Store Squad, the Newspaper Team, the Junior librarians, the Book Club, aND I HAVE A TON OF PROJECTS DUE THIS MONTH! -whew- Yeah, yeah, teacher's pet, I know...
Well, as you all know, my -coughpen- name is Chris Rhyanne, I am 13 years old, have brown hair, I'm going into eighth grade, and I am living in the southern half of the United states. Notice how vauge I am in my attempt to keep my identity a secret. Cool, huh? Like the Peter Parker... er Patrica Parker of the author's world. :o Or as my friends call me, Harriet Plopper. (don't ask)
Ah - of course. Mako Island and Kioshi... About that. You see, like Rosethorns, I seem to have stumped and/or confused myself to the point that I cannot write any more at the moment. I am completly brain-dead as soon as I try to write a new chapter. So, I have taken them (not permanatly!) off of FPress for a while. I'm already starting sevral new stories as well (moi's attention span is 0), so you may not see an update in... I don't know, a year? -ducks from random thrown objects- Sorry! But I am about halfway through Dragon Kisses right now, and a good way through The Stepway. So please - have mercy on a poor, confused writer! ;--;
My favorite books:
--Eragon, although Eldest was not very good for me
--The Harry Potter series (so sue me, I like it)
--The Old Kingdom Trilogy
--Anything by Tamora Pierce
--Both the Twilight series and The Host (I'm a semi-fanatic. I like them, but not to the point of insanity)
--The Goose Girl (Shannon Hale version)
--Princess Academy (also by Shannon Hale)
-- ...and a lot more fantasy books I can't remember the titles of.
My favorite FPress stories:
--The Alabaster Prince
--The Sylivan Outlaws
--Ocean's Prisioner
--Valkyrie Tempest
--Heard of Darkness: Dragonrider
--Glass
My Favorite Songs:
--This is Halloween Remix (Remix) - P!ATD & MM
--Our song - Taylor Swift
--I Feel Bad, What Hurts the Most - Rascal Flatts
--Passion - Utada Hikaru
--Save the Last Dance for Me - Michal Buble
--Stand in the Rain - Superchick
-- ... and the list goes on and on and on...
Quote of the Month:
There are two major steps to cure a bad habit. Admitting you have a problem, and doing something about it. I'm perfectly fine with the first one, but the second one I'm having problems with...

Short (ish) Story Summaries:
Dragon Kisses: Kyorya (Kyo for short) is the adopted son of the king of Astar, one of the biggest countries in what is now Europe. The king is getting old, and the people demand that Kyo finds a bride to be their queen, or else he cannot take the throne, and it would be given to his brother. This, of course, sets him into panic mode. You see, Kyo is the last of the pure blood Shadow Dragons, who were all supposedly wiped out during the Great War by humans 3000 years ago, and he naturally has a distaste for them... which is unfortunate, since Shadow Dragon laws require royalty to only marry other pure bloods (dragon blood doesn't weaken if you marry relatives, and is actually not that uncommon) or humans. Since the royals are all wiped out, he has to marry a human. The day before the deadline, Kyo finds out that one of his maids, Rose, is immortal. Desperate, he claims to have his bride chosen and hopes they will make an exception. To his ecstatic relief, Rose turns out to be none other than a pure blood Shadow Dragon herself, sealed in a human body.
This would all end happily if Rose had any clue whatsoever that she was immortal, wasn't terrified of Kyo, and wasn't already engaged to someone from her forgotten past. He hasn't forgotten though, and he isn't about to let his bride go so easily...
The Nix: Once upon a time, an old fisherman's family was threatened by starvation. Then he met a nix - a type of water spirit, known for their delight in drowning women and children. The nix makes a bargain: a net of fish every day, for the fisherman's daughter. The fisherman quickly agrees (he couldn't possibly have a child now. His wife was far too old), and the nix is gone. You can imagine the fisherman is surprised to see, several months later, a beautiful baby girl born into their family.
Now his daughter is coming of age, and the Nix is back to reclaim his side of the bargain...
The Stepway: (from the Letter of Lelouch to the citizens of Bayr)
To the people of Bayr:
I, Lelouch of the Nightwinds, formally declare the search for my bride, my one and only. I have decided that I have lived alone too long, and I have decided to find my One by a contest of sorts.
For the next five weeks, I have allowed a gateway to be lowered into the mortal world. All you must do is climb the stepway, and I will take your hand in eternal marriage. However, the stepway is made for only the pure to pass. Any others will fall to dirt or death. Furthermore, the gateway is to be found in the Forbidden forest, where only the true may walk through, and only the determined may live to escape.
For the next five weeks, any girl, be princess or peasant, from the ages of fifteen to twenty-five, may try my hand. There are no exceptions. Also be aware that if sorcery or charm is used, the user must forfeit her life. There are no exceptions here, either.
Please keep in mind that my hand means living with me in my world, with any two others you may choose. Also keep in mind that my hand means devoting yourself to the immortal life, and that you may very well never walk the world you live on again. If you are willing to give up your life as you know for me, than proceed wisely, and remember; I’m waiting.
Sincerely,
Lelouch.
Cry Of the Corpse (coming soon): A fairytale as you may have never seen before. Beauty and the Beast meets The Corpse Bride;
No one goes near the old castle anymore. They say it was put under a curse long ago; a curious young prince wandered in places he should not have, and let loose a witch imprisoned there for a thousand years. Now the castle borders the land of the Living, and the land of the Dead. Skeleton butlers roam the halls, while white ghostly maids drift in and out of corridors. Worst of all is the young prince; he alone survived the witch's curse, and is doomed to live the rest of his life as a monster - dead, but yet mortal. Now any visitors are starved in his dungeon if they are lucky. If not, the craving prince will eat them alive.
Sarabeth is aware of the curse, but it doesn't stop her from seeking shelter in the old castle walls as she runs from her 'master.' Now she is captive in the Castle of the Dead, and the prince has special plans for her...
