So you have arrived.

Alright, enough with the (short-lived) formal speech. Welcome to my profile! It's not much, and I don't particularly expect anyone to care about the things I place here. However, feel free to read it, because I won't be able to stop you from doing so anyway.

When others ask, I tell them that my name is Megumi. I didn't just randomly choose it. Actually, it's the meaning of my real name translated to Japanese.

The things I love the most are anime, manga and RPG's, especially those that fall under the fantasy genre. Astronomy and mythology are also of interest to me. I've been quite attracted to Norse myths for a long time now, and anything related to them tends to catch my eye.

I suppose you could call me an artist and a writer, though definitely not a professional one. I still have many challenges to overcome and a long road left to tread ahead of me.

I'm also part of the Fanfiction.Net community, where I am known as Kannono.

Why did I choose my penname as such?

It's because autumn is my favorite season; I've always been fascinated by the falling leaves and their colors. As for the word valkyrie, they are 'battle-maidens', the selectors of souls, servants of the god Odin in Norse mythology. In truth, I just find them cool.

This is the first time I'll be announcing my plans, haha. Well, I found an old fanfiction I wrote two years ago, and I've decided to adapt it into an original story. It's one of the fanfics I'm proudest of, but it's a part of my archive, so I was never brave enough to post it on FF.Net. Ironic, huh? Anyway, it'll be up soon, I hope.
