Listen, I plead guilty to misanthropy
so hang me! Ah'd appreciate it!!
If ya wanna talk to me about Love'n'Pain
consult my ulcer, it'd be happy to accommodate ya!

I grew up moving around, from city to city, state to state, so I naturally acquired the ability to enjoy being by myself. I went to a few too many funerals as a kid, so I naturally acquired a heightened awareness of time in general.
I still spend most of my time alone. I'm not shy or self-conscious, but I can be unfortunately quiet in social settings unless I'm talking one-on-one with someone. I don't speak very much unless I have something to say, and when I do I tend to think before I let the words all come out. I love listening to music, and I'm usually glued to a book (whether a published one or my sketchbook). I'm not much of an optimist, or a pessimist; I tend to try and look at things and probabilities as they are. Because of this, I'm good at being objectively aware of my flaws, so I am always trying to improve on myself. I avoid phrases like “child at heart”, but I will never give up on amusing myself and enjoying simple things. My day-to-day thoughts tend to be rather far off--rather removed the cynical social musings that are considered "mature". I'm a very curious person—I tend to seek out what ever sparks my interest, and to know why things are as they are. I've always felt compelled to create, and I feel comfortable saying that I'm at my happiest when I'm either learning new skills or practicing them.
I don't believe in restricted goals and limitations set by others. “The sky is the limit”, with determination and hard work. How far you go depends solely upon yourself. My only prejudices are equally distributed to all of mankind. I'm averted to pastimes that involve purposely disorienting myself. I also have many paranoid theories about government conspiracies.

For me, life is just existing within the limits of the human mind. I live in my own little world alone, up in the guarded tower of my head, and spend most of my time peering out. I avoid swapping transient social interactions and fads for reality, and spend most of my time looking ahead, rather than around or behind. I'm spellbound by my thoughts and experiences, and most sensations and sights in life have a mystical feeling for me. At the same time, I love science and rationality, and am just as amazed by them. These things have always kept me interested in experiencing and knowing all that I can.

I don't consider myself a part of any one group of thought, as I don't live by referencing others to dictate my actions.
Look at the successful men in any of the learned professions. How perfectly hideous they are! Except, of course, in the Church. But then in the Church they don't think. A bishop keeps on saying at the age of eighty what he was told to say when he was a boy of eighteen, and as a natural consequence he always looks absolutely delightful.Oscar Wilde
I continue to read and learn to add insight in to my own psyche, not to look for others to idolize to allow me to drift effortlessly through life.
