Okay, that is IT. I have had two fics plagerized in the course of 3 weeks. The characters may not be mine, but the IDEAS ARE!!! DO NOT STEAL THEM!!! I DO take action against those who do! I'm not playing around anymore. I don't give a darn if it's accidental or you "didn't realize." The first chick claimed that, but there was no possible way it was accidental. This is it. You have been warned!

Recently, I've had a few people ask me to start a mailing list for fanfic updates. I decided to try it out. It will mostly be for my YYH work, but that's because I mostly write YYH. NEW NOTE: 8/26/2002
Okay. There has been a rash of plagiarisms of my fanfiction lately. Two were accidental, one took my fic "Neko" and added a scene to it, and one was a replica of my fic "Pudding." To the person (I have no idea whom; I was on vacation at the time) who messed with Neko: Had you emailed me and asked if you could use my characters and give credit for them to me, I would have been flattered that you were inspired by my writing and I would have said yes. In fact, if you email me and ask now, as long as you don't use my entire fic and you do give me credit for my characters, I will gladly allow you to use them. To the girl for "Pudding," Hikari sent me the conversation between you and her. I apologize for being so harsh with you outright. I was angry and irrational because it was not only my work, but it was a work from a memorable period of my life with some friends in it that have since disappeared from my life. The whole point behind writing is to gain a sense of accomplishment in something YOU did. Praise would be hollow if it were just a stolen work. It took a long time for me to be able to write well, and I still look back on my earlier fanfiction and wince. I am perfectly willing, given time, to discuss fanfiction ideas and help you refine your work as perhaps a mentor. The way to improving your work takes time and effort. However, without both of those elements, it would be a hollow celebration at best.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: October 13th 2002
I have bad news for everyone. I am getting out of fanfiction. Suicide and Flux are very likely the only fics that will be continuing. If I have an idea pop into my head for writing the others, I may do so. I want to concentrate on originals. I'm not sure if I will be writing them under this pen name, or if I will write them under my real name. The pen name is tempting, but I'm still not sure. I've gained a lot of support from everyone who knows, most notably, Yamino Tora, and my itooshi, Hikari Nanase. It's been a fun ride, everyone. Thanks for four years of fun. Please wish me luck on this endeavor.

Update: October 28. 2002
Anyone notice that Suicide was taken down? Wondering why? Me too. I got a letter in my email, saying that it violated ff.net guidelines (no specification), and that it had been removed. Sixty-six reviews were left for that fic, and I lost all of them. Words cannot describe how angry I am. The closest I can come is a whole lot of cursing, which is inappropriate here. The fic is posted on MediaMiner.org, which is a better site anyways. I'm banned from uploading for a "period of time" (so specific, thank you). Therefore, you will have to go to MediaMiner.org for updates anyway because I'm not going to try uploading here for at least 2 weeks. Enjoy two weeks without my fanfiction, because I don't particularly feel like writing for a while anyway. I also changed all the ratings on my fics to R, just in case that was my violation. I don't particularly feel like losing the 131 reviews I have for Flux, or any of the reviews for my other fics.

W00T! Some moron who's too stupid to read summaries (which clearly state which fics are yaoi and which ones aren't) flamed two of my fics anonymously. *snickers* Cool! The person evidently doesn't like yaoi, if you read the review s/he left on Memory Prime under the name "theyaoihater." Thanks for inspiring me to write more yaoi. You're a peach! However, to aid the moron, I'm putting the YAOI warnings on all my fics in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS so maybe the idiots will UNDERSTAND BETTER.

Bad news: this semester is going to be extremely busy. I'll get things out sporadically, but I have to concentrate on school because my New Year's Resolution was to bring my cumulative GPA up to a 3.0. That means my semester GPA has to be a 3.4, so I can't screw up. Wish me luck! ~Rose
