She and her younger brother were both raised with an appreciation for nature, life, and horror. She still resides in Pennsylvania with her son, family, and of course, two dogs. She began writing when she was very young after her grandmother had handed her a copy of Stephen King’s Cujo. Her other inspirations include Anne Rice, Laurell K. Hamilton and Amelia Atwater-Rhodes.
