-Bio-
Elizabeth Darker was born on July 3, 1986 in a small Pennsylvanian town. She and her younger brother were both raised with an appreciation for nature, life, and horror. She still resides in Pennsylvania with her son, family, and of course, two dogs.
She began writing when she was very young after her grandmother had handed her a copy of Stephen King’s Cujo. Her other inspirations include Anne Rice and Amelia Atwater-Rhodes.
Elizabeth donates much of her time, money, and work to various charities and actively works to help the world become a better place.
-Works-
Blood Tainted Dreams: The Hunter (published in 2006) (aka: BTD: The Hunter or simply Hunter) was an early release by Elizabeth under the pseudo name "Elizabeth Watkins". Although the sales on the book were fine, various problems arose. This, coupled with Elizabeth's distaste of the edited work and main character prompted her to pull the work from print. However, due to popular demand, she is considering reprinting a limited edition of the work at a low price sometime in the late summer or fall of 2008 after the release of her new work, Crimson Tears (co-authored by T.Jahn).
From the author's website:
"This book was released in early 2006 under the name "Elizabeth Watkins" (which, no, is not my real name lol), but I had made MANY changes to the book because of terms I had made with a publisher. After an argument, I decided to self publish, then had problems there... and more problems... by the end of 2006 despite the copies sold I was so unhappy with the lack of depth of my characters due to the edits that I pulled the book all together. I promised fans and friends that I would put the book back on shelves once the edits had been undone... and unfortunately have since lost interest in the book entirely. To be honest, Raven bores me. She's such a hollow, self absorbed soul that I hate her character in general. I made her to kill her.. and she simply refuses to die. I would much rather write about my wonderful vampires who struggle with inner conflicts of a different kind, as well as addiction, slavery, and adapting to the new ages. Or of my poor, horridly abused vampire hunter, Christopher, who has MANY MANY internal struggles - ones that must be figured out on his own and are not as shallow as killing the vampire who blood bound him." - edarker.com
Crimson Tears (coming in 2008) is the story about a group of young boys working for "Crimson", a group designed for vampire hunting.
