Author has written 4 stories for Romance, Friendship, and Life.

This is our authors' profile on storiesmaniadotnet, we're too lazy to type out a new one for FP:

1. What is your full name?
Our names our Chris (as in Christine, but I prefer Chris), and Sal (or Leanna). You don't need our last names. (We're co-authoring at the moment. For now, I (Chris) will be mostly on here since Sal has yet to install internet in her new place.)

2. Tell us a little more about yourself, eg. your age, profession, hobbies etc.
Chris:
Finishing school next month...We have major exams and I just can't stop writing! It doesn't help that Sal here calls me at all hours of the night, persuading me to "pleeeeease, just one more scene?" And then we end up doing a whole chapter (or more) on the phone. Insanity? Yes. Anyway, I'm 18. Stuck somewhere undesireable at the moment but hopefully, by next year I'll be in Michigan and attending college, living a more peaceful life than the one I've been leading for the past year.

I'm generally nice, but I can get mean when I want to. I'm nicknamed Alien by my classmates, because I like rock music and I'm a little odd (don't ask me, I don't know). And from what Sal told me the other day, I'm not "normal". For instance, when I went through something traumatic (or WHENEVER I do) I never talked about it; I'd stomp into class and be a "silent bitch" for the whole day. Apparently I was supposed to be all glassy-eyed and sniffly and talking about how my ex bought me chocolate everyday. I don't know, man.

I love reading, writing, listening to music, and playing basketball. These are my passions. Besides that, I draw, and I like being creative with things. I like colors, but I used not to. I go through different phases all the time...When I start doing something new, I'm crazy about it for a few weeks before I go back to my normal routine and forget all about it. I mutter to myself when I'm looking for something, or if my computer starts acting gay. I'm terribly unorganized. I'm obsessed with jewellery, especially earrings. When I'm studying I have to tell my mom to hide my cell phone sometimes so I don't get distracted. I have mood swings all the time. I generally do odd stuff. I crave odd things to eat or do at the oddest times.

I've known weirder people, so...I still don't get the "Alien" terminology. I really don't.

Sal:
...Well, now that Chris finally stopped ranting...I'm seventeen years old, the youngest of seven. Currently, taking care of my two neices and nephew is my profession. I'm a senior in high school. I love to read, write, cook, and most of all, I love hanging out with my friends. Uh, what else...I like the color blue. O.o

3. How long have you been writing?
Chris:
Around six years, but the first year doesn't really count because I didn't even understand the whole concept yet. I didn't think I have talent and dropped it for a while afterwards.

Sal:
I started writing when I was fifteen. So this is my third year.

4. And what got you started?
Chris:
I used to read a lot when I was younger, and I remember looking deeper into the words and imagining myself writing them. Then once when I was twelve, I started this story that was really childish, but I had a plot and everything for it. Never got around to finishing it. In eighth grade I wrote my first story, which was a 20-chapter long HP fanfiction. I still look back on it and laugh.

Sal:
Chris did. Me and her have been best friends since the fifth grade. I've always had great plots mapped out clearly in my head, and I'd even roleplay them, but I never had the courage to put them into actual words.

5. Do you write regularly?
Chris:
Yes. If not a full-fledged story, then a poem, or just a random scene laid out in my head that has no particular direction. But then again, we all go through that "ARGH I JUST CAN'T WRITE!!1111" phase every once in a while.

Sal:
Yes I do, especially when we start a new story. Like Chris mentioned, it's like the wheels in my head are spinning and I want to write the whole thing in one day.

6. If so, how many hrs a week do you devote to writing?
Chris:
Maybe around 12-16 or so. It really depends on my mood. Sometimes I can't write at all.

Sal:
If I'm writing a specific scene it depends on my mood which helps with my imagination. But roughly, I would say around 14 hours or so per week.

7. Have you had any published works so far, besides online? If so, when?
Chris and Sal: No.

8. If not, do you plan to get published someday?
Chris:
Yes. Sal and I are working on a story that we hope will get bestsellers more than Harry Potter (one can only dream, right?). But for now, we'll be content with posting it on SM once we're done fixing it up, which won't be for a while yet.

Sal:
Not "WE". YOU. YOU'RE the one who's optimistic enough about that dream, I'm not. I think what we write is really good, but not good enough to get published. Chris disagrees, obviously.

9. What inspires you to write?
Chris:
There isn't anything particular that I get inspired by...I get inspired by a lot of things, but sometimes I can't even tell what they are, but which also include bad experiences, depression, change of location, beautiful sceneries, etc. But currently, I'm getting inspired by own dramatic life and my best friend.

Sal:
Truthfully, I don't know. I love writing but I'm not all that great at organizing my thoughts. I'm one of those people who live in their imagination. I love running away from reality and creating a whole new different world from myself. You could say that I can write with passion when I'm "in the zone". Otherwise, it's just random words on paper.

10. If you are published, do you have any advice for those who wish to be?

11. What advice do you have for those who just started writing?
Chris:
Practice makes perfect. And read a lot, it helps.

Sal:
I'm kinda a beginner myself, but if I would give advice, I'd say don't be scared of what you're capable of. Try not to worry whether or not people will like what you write or how you write it, because if you do you won't be able to express your "inner writer".

12. Feel free to add anything you may think will be of help to other writers that our questions haven't covered.
Chris:
Co-authoring is awesome, more people should try it. I write my own pieces as well, but I just started co-authoring recently and it's such a great source of inspiration because you feel like two different styles combine to form something phenomenal. And yeah yeah, I kinda have a big head when it comes to my writing but hey, it's something I think I'm really good at. I know Sal agrees even if she's rolling her eyes at me.

Sal:
I think you guys pretty much covered it all. Adios.
