moo!

So in one weekend, I managed to update A Simple Song for Lori, Because Elliot Rhymes with Idiot, and To Love a Loser. Take that, writer's block! Also... HOLY ‘EFFIN GOD ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS JUST FLEW IN FROM AUSTRALIA AND SHOWED UP AT MY HOUSE WITHOUT EVEN TELLING ME.
To sum it up, you have a very happy writer right now. :)

HERE's the song featured in the fourth chapter of A Simple Song for Lori. It's awesome. :)

travels. (majorly updated!)

Traveling has become such a big part of my life. If you've noticed, yes, I constantly talk about it and to be honest, that's why I'm getting withdrawal symptoms because I've been too busy with university to go with my family on their trips. I'm fortunate to be able to travel to many parts of the world, since my dad is the head of his company's Asia-Pacific branch and he always brought us along during our school breaks. Because I feel like sharing them right now, I wanna show you some pictures of my travels! I can't find a lot of my other pics though... I don't remember which laptop I saved them in.

older pictures.

- Davao, Philippines
We went to a hotel that had its own island, so it was very private and calming. We took a thirty minute ferry trip from mainland Davao to Samal Island.
- Palawan, Philippines - subterranean river, hunda bay.
The first album is of The Subterranean River which was dark, scary, and awe-inspiring with all the rock formations created by the water. The second is of our island hopping along Hunda Bay!
- Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Dubai is one of the fastest developing places in the world! Too bad you guys won't see the camel. The pictures in the beach were taken at the Jumeirah Beach Park and the cannon was taken at the Dubai Museum which also had these old ships from the trading times I think, and the mall we went to was the Mall of the Emirates, one of the biggest shopping malls in the world.
- Beach House
This is abitterkiss's beach house, haha! Just because we all aren't so lucky to have our own beach houses during summers.

Mexico & MiniEuroTrip & Japan 08.
I'm so happy I found the pictures! They were in my sister's laptop, haha! There aren't a lot of pictures in some albums because a lot of pictures had my family and friends in them.

- Guanajato, Mexico
- Teotihuacan, Mexico
Translated to City of the Gods, Teotihuacan holds some of the largest pyramids ever made by man. And yes, we climbed up those pyramids! Egypt, you're next!

- Pompeii, Italy
We visited The Forgotten City of Pompeii. If you don't know, it was wiped out in two days by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in the year 79. For me, it was a very haunting and creepy place; not a place I'd go to in the night. My friend who could 'sense' ghosts, said there were so many of them as we had our tour. Yikes!
- Rome, Italy
Like any trip to Rome, we went to the Colosseum and The Roman Forum to see all the old temples and such.
- Amalfi, Assisi, & Pisa, Italy
- Monaco
- Barcelona & Madrid, Spain
I'm happy we went to Spain. I got to practice my Spanish from back in high school! Perdone, ¿hay una gasolinera cerca de aqui?
- Toledo, Spain

- Kanazawa, Japan - one, two, extras.
Taken from abitterkiss's album since she already made this. We went with my sister and a group of friends and we stayed in our foster family's house for a week then we stayed in a hotel for the rest of the trip. The extras album is of random things like sumo wrestlers. :)

Singapore & France 09.

- Singapore City, Singapore - one, two.
This was just last month, where I shelled out 1100 bucks to watch the Formula 1 Night Race. Ouch, I know. :)

- Paris, France - eiffel, louvre.
On our first day in France, we visited the Eiffel Tower. Afterwards, we went to Musée du quai Branly, Musée Rodin and Centre Pompidou. We went to a ton of museums in France!
- Cannes, France
We went to the Palais des Festival where the annual Cannes Film Festival is held. Unfortunately, the red carpet wasn't there. Since there were rain showers, we decided to join the Cannes Cinema Tour on a petite train instead of walking.
- St. Marguerite Island, France.
Île Sainte-Marguerite is one of the Lérins Islands, a twenty minute ferry trip away from Cannes. We went to the Musée de la Mer which shows shipwrecks found off the island coast and the fortress prison, Fort Royal, where The Man in the Iron Mask was held in the 17th century.
- Nice, France
Place Massena is Nice's most famous square. It's surrounded by red ochre buildings, fountains, and gardens, so it's like you're stepping into a colouring book!
- Antibes, France
Antibes is a city located between Nice and Cannes. There are many museums in Antibes, one of them being the Musée Picasso which is located in the Château Grimaldi. I'm not really into art, but my sister is, so we took the one hour bus trip there for that.

If there's one single piece of advice I could give you, it is that you should travel the world. Find a way to take some time to leave your town, city, state, province, whatever for a while and travel! Explore the world! You meet a lot of people, you see a lot of cool stuff, you learn new things, experience different cultures, and it's almost a sort of humbling experience when you realize just how big and vast the world is beyond the usual places you go to and the people you see. One of my favorite things to do in traveling is going to the supermarkets and looking at all the local products that you cannot read and understand and buying things out of pure instinct (I tend to avoid buying anything with neon colored packaging) and the surprise you get when you get back to your hotel room and realize that you bought a brand of strawberry ice cream literally translated to 'PigBar' or cucumber flavored Pepsi. :)

words for a new reader.

I take a Hugh Grant approach to my writing. Take a look at Hugh Grant; he pretty much plays the same kind of guy in his movies and he doesn't give a crap about what others think because he's having fun with it and earns a shitload of money doing it. I've hated reading and writing since I was a kid. Reading bores me and grammar lessons back in elementary (past perfect and future perfect whatevers, dangling modifiers, clauses, phrases, etc.) have traumatized me into hating writing and dealing with all those stuff, so I may not 'appreciate' the art of writing as much as other people here who do. My goal in writing is to have fun, and what I enjoy about writing is that happy feeling you get when you have this cute idea in your head and you somehow manage to get it on paper/MS Word. The sentences may all be wonky, the plot line can be crap, the characters are probably a bit lame, everyone else probably thinks it's boring – but I love getting that feeling that I managed to put my idea into words. I don't find it fun anymore if I actually have to spend time to go through everything with a comb, weeding out wrong grammar, punctuation, misuse of adverbs, etc. Where's the fun if I actually have to be serious with my writing; if I actually have to think about the plotline, the characters that I'm already fine with, and details I don't really care about?

So if you're looking for stories that are drama filled, well thought out, emotionally-laden, and cover heavy aspects of life – then you need to leave my profile because I'm seriously not the writer for you. But if you’re looking for good ol’ lighthearted stories created with very little thought put into them, made purely for shits and giggles, with a little bit of drama here and there because all good stories need a dash of that, then hey, maybe you can stick around. ;)

You have been warned.
