Hi! I don't really know what to write...um...I love old musicals with Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire (though I've seen very few), Dean Martin and Louis Prima should have the fame Sinatra does, and Persuasion by Jane Austen is just as good as Pride and Prejudice. Cross country is hardcore (seriously, running two miles at 7am is no easy feat; I'm far from being a morning person). Celia Cruz is immortal. Guys need to learn how to dance instead of grind. I'm a diehard romantic; the end of a story either has to be happy or justified in the eyes of the reader, or else it's pointless. Romeo & Juliet is a prime example of a pointless story that never should have been written, and Macbeth is a masterpiece. Anyway, if you decide to read my work, I hope you like it! I'm not the best person at using computers (my nose is glued to books all day long when Coach hasn't called practice), so it might take me awhile to update stories, but I'll get the hang of it eventually. Enjoy!
Updated often:
My friends decided I should put a few cliche things on my profile, so here goes (As far as music related stuff goes, I can never remember all of them at the same time, and since I have quite a few, I'll be adding to them often. Be forewarned):
Gender: How many guys would make their profile XCgirl?
Age: 15
Height: 4'11'' and 3/4'' (ONE quarter inch to go!)
DOB: December 21
Hair: Long, extremely frizzy, brown, with barely visible gold-ish streaks, curly in some places and wavy in others, when I wash my hair if I don't put mousse on it it turns into an oversized afro
Eyes: Boring, plain old brown
Skin: Too pale to look Dominican, too dark to look white
Cultural background: Mom's a mix of Dominican (mostly), Spaniard, African, and a whole lotta other stuff we haven't figured out yet; Dad's a mix of Italian (mostly), German, English, Irish, and Scottish (yeah, yeah, I'm a mutt, that's not even all of them)
Favorite music: Celia Cruz (duh, see above), Skillet, George Strait, Norah Jones, Perez Prado, Juan Luis Guerra, Gary Allan, 3 Doors Down, LeeAnn Rimes, Alison Krauss, Andrea Bocelli, Hawk Nelson, Switchfoot, Gloria Estefan, the Eagles, John Mellencamp, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, Louis Prima, Dion, Relient K, Aventura, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson & the Miracles, Tim McGraw, David Gray, Michael Buble, The Last Goodnight, more to come when I remember them...
Favorite songs from artists who aren't particularly my favorites: "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist" from Avenue Q (really, as mixed as I am, can you honestly accuse me of being racist if I like this song?), "Guy Love" from Scrubs, "Crazy" by Ayeisha Woods, "Pickin' Wildflowers" by Keith Anderson, "Dream a Little Dream of Me" by Ella Fitzgerald, "Chariot" by Gavin DeGraw, "Drive" by Incubus, yeah I have a lot more coming on this on this one too...
Favorite foods: tostones, morro, mangu, Dad's barbecue, real gelato, mashed potatoes with gravy made from the drippings of Dad's barbecue
Favorite candy: nearly anything with chocolate, especially dark, and palitos de coco (Dominican candy)
Favorite dessert: Turtle Cheesecake
Favorite vacation spot: Dominican Republic! (Where else?)
Favorite books: Persuasion and Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen, The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas, Macbeth by Shakespeare, almost any contemporary retelling of Arthurian legends, especially those by Gerald Butler

Celebrities I would marry as far as looks went: Gaspard Ulliel (he IS Edward!!), Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Cam Gigandet, Eduardo Verastegui, James Marsden, Ewan McGregor when he was younger, William Moseley
Crush: as unlikely as it is to meet a guy with potential when you're stuck in all-girls Catholic school, I DO have one, but he's about three years older than me and has only met me twice, for about half an hour each time, so yeah, not much of a chance
Favorite movies: Bride & Prejudice, Amazing Grace, Secondhand Lions, Bend It Like Beckham, Remember the Titans, Ocean's 11 thru 13, The Blues Brothers, the original Star Wars trilogy, Take the Lead, Anastasia

Funny jokes some friends and I made up who have read the Twilight series too: wouldn't it be hilarious if Jacob ended up imprinting on one of the Cullens, say, Alice, so Bella wouldn't feel guilty and Jacob would be (comparatively) happy? Where that came from no one knows, but we have a good laugh about it every now and then.
