Breathe in, breathe out... My eye twitches ever so slightly, as I watch the buffoon roll about on the ground, still giggling like a madman. After a few minutes, she finally ceases her deafening chortling, and plops back into her seat. “I’m sorry,” she begins, trying desperately to suppress a few giggles, “but did you say you FINISHED one?” I frown, but nod affirmatively... and watch, much to my chagrin, as the idiot collapses yet again to the floor in a fit of giggles... - 01 August 2009 - The writing impulse is back, but it's suffering from a bit of rust accumulation. I feel like such an old man... Hopefully I'll pick up the habit again. It's a bit embarrassing reading through some of the older material, but I remember having fun writing them, or at least feeling better after writing them, and that's all that really matters in the end, neh? I suppose the best way to improve is by doing, but I'm still a bit wary of posting what I have jotted down right at this moment. ~_~;; You can just feel the details. The bits and pieces you never bothered to put into words. And you can feel these extreme moments... even if you don't want to. You put these together, and you get the feel of a person. Enough to know how much you miss them... and how much you hate the person who took them away. Our children see this, and learn to imitate it; for man is an imitative animal... The parent storms, the child looks on, catches the lineaments of wrath, puts on the same airs... and thus nursed, educated, and daily exercised in tyranny, cannot but be stamped by it with odious peculiarities. The man must be a prodigy who can retain his manners and morals undepraved by such circumstances. When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown-up. Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And when you look into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you. | |||||||||||
