Author has written 5 stories for Supernatural, and Love. 20-year old noob writer-that's all I can say. Feel free to critique my writing (first story as of now). Why? Coz it helps a lot for somebody like me who wasn't raised in a purely-english speaking country (w/c explains some grammatical corrections tho' some are typos) ... hell, I'm not even that familiar with our own language here. Oh, and thanks for visiting. Here's a preview of my first ever attempt at writing: An Angel's Silence: Watching Over You Blood dripped out continuously. There were also stains inside my bag, some on my notebooks. I tried to move my fingers, which refused to cooperate from the pain. Massaging them didn’t work either, so I pasted band aid strips on the wounded parts and spent the rest of the time lifting each one of my fingers. Even the slightest attempt to raise one hurts. Knock, knock. “Nobody’s here. Go away.” “Cyne, I have your books with me.” It’s Zael. Oh yeah, I forgot my books. So now he decides to show up? If he didn’t surprise me back there, I won’t drop the books and my hand won’t look like scrambled eggs with bones. “Leave it there, I’ll get it later.” I called out. The door opened. Zael had the books in one arm and a plastic bag on the other. God, why does he have to be ramming with malfunctioned brain cells? Note to self: get a big tiger and a big latch to be installed on my door. His gaze traveled down to my hand, which I forgot to hide because I though he knows what ‘Leave it there’ meant. “What happened to your hand?” he demanded, dropping the books and plastic bag on my desk. “It’s none of your business… OW!!” for another unacceptable reason, he touched my already injured hand, which returned to the way it hurt when the guy stepped on it. He thumbed through my kit and took out some ointment, a roll of plaster, things I’m not familiar with and started peeling off the band aid I placed earlier. It looked like he knew what he was doing, so I just let him. Besides, I don’t know first aid and if he has plans of making it hurt more, I’ll squirt the tube of ointment into his eyes and poke it with the tweezer I used earlier. “You couldn’t have possibly done this to yourself. Who did it?” Did he just sound mad? “I…I don’t know him.” I stammered. Zael looked concerned. He handled my hand so carefully that I didn’t feel the slightest bit of pain-just a warm hand…his hand, touching mine. Something about that thought made me blush. Once again, I saw the bandage on his hands. “What happened to your hands?” “Fire accident.” He mumbled, concentrating on the last layer of gauze. “There. I’ll change that from time to time until a scab forms. Don’t get into trouble until your hand heals.” “Yeah. I’ll get the guy when it heals.” He raised an eyebrow at me then, walked towards the door. “The ice cream’s for you. Sarah told me you like empty, fat-building calories.” The door closed behind him. Ice cream? I peeked at the plastic bag he placed on my desk earlier. A tub of 'chocolate-flavored ice cream with fudge drizzle and brownie bits' written on the cover met my curious eyes. Without a second to waste, I plunged a spoon that I usually hide underneath my pillow into it and began gobbling the whole thing up. and the second work: Ember in Darkness One of the two guys I saw yesterday stepped inside our classroom and grabbed River’s arm, the other one pulled on mine. “This is Neon’s order again, isn’t it? Why is River involved?” None of them answered. “Damn it, I’m talking to you!” I raised my voice at him. His paws are squeezing the same part that Neon did yesterday-that part that still hurts! His goons left us in an empty classroom. That guy is really going to get it later on. “I can’t believe you’re replacing me with this retard.” Neon exclaimed behind us, toying with a baseball bat. A baseball bat? Is he that desperate?! “STOP!-“ I stepped in front of him, while he raised the bat and aimed it at River. River’s eyes dissolved into black. I feel nervous when he does that, it’s a neat trick but still freaky. “You’ve got to stop wasting River’s time. Dr. Burke just asked me to accompany him for the time being. Let him out.” Neon seemed to understand; he hesitated for a moment but turned the knob and swung the door open anyway. “River, you can go now.” He looked at me for a second, then, back to Neon. “Fine.” Neon banged the door and jammed his fist on River’s face. Blood started dripping from his mouth. “Neon!” I slapped him back for River and dug inside my bag for a tissue. “I’m so sorry. Here, wipe that off.” His uncle will surely kill me. “For the last time, Lily. I won’t be asking you again. Is he your fiancé?” I rolled my eyes at him and brushed my white, off-shoulder top. “No. I just said that to get rid of you. You are so possessive. Accept defeat and I assure you, everything will sail smoothly.” For the first time, Neon shot me a violent glare and started taking deeper breaths. Above me, the bat was making its way towards my head at full speed. THUD! I glanced up at River’s arm, blocking the hard metal from bashing my skull. It only took a couple of blinks before he snatched it from Neon. Cool. Yay! Thanks for your time..:) | |||||||||||
