Bio

I'm brand new to this site, but I've been writing for about two years. I'm a teenager, so obviously my work is going to be all angst-filled and dark; it's going to primarily dwell on dreary pessimism and disprized love, as Hamlet said. But ironically, I used to be an optimist until about a year and a half ago, and sometimes that may glimmer through--not all is sorrowful and bleak. Also, one can always find humor in things, even if it is cynical. As for the present time, I suffer prolific bouts of melancholia, but I'm now past my darkest times--thank goodness. I hope that you enjoy this stuff.

Influences

I'm primarily a romantic, but I also tend to use reason well, tempering both as well as I can. I love Chopin and Beethoven, and their music really impels me to think about emotions; sometimes I write to it. H. G. Wells was an early influence. Hunter S. Thompson was one for a time, but presently I've dwelled on the Victorians--poets like James Thompson (B.V.) as my favorite, Melville (if he is a Victorian) as another good author, enjoying others as well. I also love Faulkner, Kafka and many more.

Other

I love playing the piano, learning about mental-health, and anything about philosophy (eastern or western). I also love reading and writing, obviously; and talking, sometimes. I'm shy. I shan't say more. Au revoir et bonne chance! Passez un bonne journee tout le mond!
