~QUOTE of the YEAR~

"Due to recent budget cuts the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off"

Welcome To My Home Away From Home

Sit with me for awhile in this hidden wooded mountain vale. Drink from the spring or take a nap in the shade of one of the trees their twisted roots make the perfect nooks for curling up with a book. There are berries to eat or would you prefer bread and honey. There are wild flowers to pick just up that hill and if you wish to you can watch the sunrise from it, it has an amazing view. If you are chilled you can warm yourself by the coals from my fire. Careful there is a doe near by, you wouldn't want to frighten the poor thing. Relax let the animals of the forest come to you, they might be a little shy but give them time. Please stay as long as you wish I welcome all who seek peace in a war-torn world.

My haven reminds me of the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland with their wild untamed beauty.

This is my second home, my haven, my own personnel heaven even if its only in my mind.

Please share your heaven with others as I have shared mine with you.(This is not my idea I got the idea from painted.music and simply changed it from their heaven to mine)

About Me:

Age: I can legally drink in Mexico(where there is no drinking age)

Height: Short, like extremely -averaged sized people use my head as an armrest- short!

Haircolor: I have the sexyist hair color on earth and if you know what that is you get a free hug!

Personality: There are no words to describe how random, coffee addicted, music addicted, and book/writing addicted I am.

Great Quotes(credit goes to painted.music for finding these awesome quotes!)

"Words are alive; cut them and they bleed." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Words are like bodies and meanings like souls." - Ibn Ezra

"It's not about the words / But the beauty they make." - Say This Sooner

"The earth laughs in flowers." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

"They call it a place where
husbands abandon their wives,
wives abandon their children,
and children abandon their dreams."
- Laurie Flowers, "Through Their Eyes"

"Poetry can no more be graded than life can be simply defined." - Perpetual Questions

"Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night." - Edgar Allan Poe

"Kindness is the language the deaf can hear and the blind can see." - Mark Twain

"A careless word may kindle strife, a cruel word may wreck a life, a timely word may lessen stress, a loving word may heal and bless."

"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give." - Winston Churchill

"Those who think happiness is a ray of sunlight shining through the clouds have clearly never danced in the rain."

"It is in the darkest skies that the stars are best seen." - Richard Paul Evans

"It's easy to be wise. Just think of something stupid to say and say the opposite." - Sam Levenson

Not marble nor the gilded monuments
Of princes shall outlive this pow'rful rhyme,
But you shall shine more bright in these contents
Than unswept stone, besmear'd with sluttish time.
When wasteful war shall statues overturn,
And broils root out the work of masonry,
Nor Mars his sword nor war's quick fire shall burn
The living record of your memory.
'Gainst death and all-oblivious enmity
Shall you pace forth; your praise shall still find room,
Even in the eyes of all posterity
That wear this world out to the ending doom.
So till the judgment that yourself arise,
You live in this, and dwell in lover's eyes.
(Shakespeare, sonnet 55)

O for a voice like thunder, and a tongue
To drown the throat of war! - when the senses
Are shaken, and the soul is driven to madness
Who can stand? When the souls of the oppressed
Fight in the troubled air that rages, who can stand?
(William Blake)

Stop the abuse so others won't suffer as so many of us have.

For every child who cries at night
Alone with shame and pain and fright
For every child who wants so much
To only feel a gentle touch
For the beaten child, who cries in pain
Whose tears run silent, like the rain
For the child used to satisfy lust
Who never learns to love or trust
For the child taken from her home
And made to feel so all alone
For the child whose home is just a shell
Where life becomes a living hell
For the child who smiles but cannot feel
Because of scars too deep to heal
For every child who yearns for love
I hope and pray to God above
To hear your cries and heal your pain
And give you back your life again
