11/8/09- I've been so neglectful toward this account, but I always come to it for some reason. I write so much and the only reason I don't post it on here is because I never finish anything.

I believe that all writers, obviously, have somthing to say. If it is a messge, a dream of theirs or just their true feelings. I think all writers have a way of putting themselves into their characters. It might not be by a lot, but all characters are in some way like their creators. Inner feelings seem to fuel the works of writers. In some way, what we write about is how, either we want to live, are living, or wonder what it would be like living in a different way. Personal experience is crucial to writers. Even something as simple as a day dream can help writers develope characters and plots. I also think that some writers probably write about the lives they've always wanted. Writing is sometimes an escape, so the outcome of the characters can only be determined by the writer. In a sense, writing gives people a control on life. In real life, you can't predict the outcome of situations, but in stories, writers can create their own worlds.
Writers aren't afraid to explore the possibilites. In our writings, we answer 'what ifs' all the time. It is a way of showing our curiousity. We put ourselves into false situations, in order to act through another person's body. Everyone reacts to things differently, and that is why there are so many different characters. For instance, if some one found out that a serial killer is running loose in their town, one person might lock themselves in their house until he's caught, and others might arm themselves and try to find the killer, and others might just go about their normal lives. Writing is an easy, yet difficult, way to put yourself in someone else's shoes. Wanting to know what life might be like on the other side, keeps writers creating new characters and lives.
Writing, over all, is something we choose to do. As an escape, out of curiousity, or just because we have something to say and stand up for. Writing is just another way of exploring the possibilities. And that's why I think there are so many books. We can't fit every emotion into just one book. Different people feel different ways, and there are a plethora of ways to show just a single feeling. Anger for one character may be screaming into a pillow and crying it away, and for others it might lead to revenge, or self-mutilation and other may put up psychological walls so that mental pain can't enter their bodies.
For each new story, there is always someone who's willing to read. There is always someone who agrees or is just as curious as the writer. There are so many things to write about, and so many ideas that have not yet been discovered, and that's why us writers continue to weave together stories of different characters and emotions. Anyone can write, but only those who are truely passionate about writing can be called writers.
