Sheriff Eli Micheals responded to a case to a case about A ferry, the Lilac, not reporting in as it should have. When he investigates the ship, he finds it devoid of life, all except for a bloody handprint. Ten years pass and Eli is now a agoraphobic obsessed with the case. But he wakes up on the anniversary of the Lilac's dissapearence and decides it's time to stop obsessing. A call changes that however. The Lilac is being brought out of evidence and the case is closing. It's scheduled to make it's first ride today, and Eli is invited as a special guest. Eli eventually says yes and boards the ferry for closure. But a dark smoke engulfs the ferry and Eli is suddenly thrust face-to-face with what happened to the last passengers.
