It is not rare for writers to draw inspiration from quotes and other outside sources. I am no exception. The above quote is among a few of my ultimate favorites that have been written by an astonishingly talented song composer.

I am no poet, but I have been writing stories for about seven years now ever since my seventh grade English teacher forced me to think up of more than just a paragraph to hand in for homework. To this day I am grateful to her for allowing me to find a liking for this hobby, as I have come to think of it. It has been a little over half a year since I have last been able to sit down and write something but I am looking at getting back into it now that I have some spare time once more.

For the most part I focus on a darker thread of fiction stories. If you are looking for fairies, unicorns, and castles with rainbows, my work will not live up to your expectations. Simple as that. If you are into vampires, dark elves, and the not so happily ever afters, I hope you enjoy my work and let me know what you think about it. Constructive criticism is always appreciated and even encouraged as I am always looking for ways to improve my skills as a writer and a storyteller.

Apart from writing I am also a licensed hairdresser and am currently attending art college for media arts and animation. I mention this because, as some will guess, animation is a tough and time consuming major. Around midterms and finals time my updates will most likely slow down if not be put on hold all together. I ask you to be patient with me during those weeks for, as I am sure everyone can understand, my education takes priority over writing. On breaks and weeks with less work loads, though, I will do my best to keep updating

UPDATE 10.04.08: So my comeback to the fiction writing side of the world has not gone as smoothly as I would have hoped. More homework loads and personal projects have made it hard on me to keep working on the story that I have started posting up and I have taken it down simply because I do not wish to have the first few chapters up without any updates for months. I need to take some time out to sit down and rework the storyline a bit and revise some of the events before I can continue writing it. Something that will take a little while. Meanwhile, I am trying to organize my new schedule in a way that will allow me time to write shorter pieces for you all to enjoy. I am terribly sorry for this set back and will try to make it up to those who have started reading the previously mentioned story. I promise, the wait will be worth it in the end!
