BIG Update--

Thursday: November 19, 2009
Going to see Twilight AND New Moon tonight! SUPA FUN! I love The Twilight Saga. It is amazing. Also, The Host (another book by SM) is supposed to become a movie as well. I think I've read the book three times. New Moon; I've read six times. I AM SO EXCITED!! On to other things...

YAY! Chapter two of Whispering Encounters is almost done. It may be kind of boring to you, but there's a lot of symbolism in chapter two. I love symbolism, as well as foreshadowing and imagery. They're pretty amazing. I am having so much fun doing research for this story. I've spent half the day wrapped up in Whispering Encounters. Research, research, research. I probably could have written this one at night because there's nothing about this chapter that gives me the spooks. Sorry, it may not be as juicy as the first chapter, but I don't want it to be. Hannah needs some calm in her life before things get chaotic. Eee!! Three more pages at least and I'll be satisfied. :)

This is my fictional bliss...

A quick thank you to Brittany Clarke, a good friend and wonderful beta. You're assisted in my becoming a better writer. :)

Since the sixth grade I realized that I wanted to write a book. Even then I was all about romance. And as I tried many times to write a story it ended up a disaster, never getting past either the first page or the first chapter. Never in my short life have I finished a story on paper (or screen). I have to tell you though, the ideas swarming in my brain aren't too shabby. I have finished my stories in my head. Many of them, in fact. It just seems that I can't get it out. One day, I will finish something and hopefully it will be better than just readable. It just may take me ten years to do so. And yet, I am determined to finish at least one story before I die. It's just another thing on my bucket list.

My poetry is another story. Through my poetry I express my feelings and what I'm going through, where those feelings take me. Most of the time people tell me that my poetry is relatable to every day life. In all honesty that is not, has not, and never will be my goal. My goal with my poetry is to help me heal, mentally and emotionally. And that it does. I do not write poems for other people. I mean, honestly, how do I know what they are feeling? I can only express myself. Yes, most of it is dark and depressing, but who writes poems about rainbows and unicorns, and happy lovers frolicking in a field of sunflowers? That's not my style. And if you think that my poem Wildflowers is one of those blissfully eccentric so-happy-it-makes-me-wanna-barf poems you are wrong. Take a closer look. Just because a poem (or story, for that matter) has a happy ending does not mean that the journey there was all "skipping down the golden-brick lane". I'm not that naive.

:Inspirational Quotes:

"Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face" -Victor Hugo

"Literature adds to reality, it does not simply describe it. It enriches the necessary competencies that daily life requires and provides; and in this respect, it irrigates the deserts that our lives have already become." -- C.S. Lewis

"You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream." -- C.S. Lewis

"I know love and lust don't always keep the same company." -- Stephenie Meyer, Twilight.

"Speak when you are angry-- and you will make the best speech you'll ever regret." -- Joan Lunden

"Seize the moment of excited curiosity on any subject to solve your doubts; for if you let it pass, the desire may never return, and you may remain in ignorance." William Wirt

"I declare after all that there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of anything than of a book! When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library." -- Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

"We keep moving forward, opening up new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious...and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths." -- Walt Disney
