Greetings

Ni hao, konnichiwa, Yuh buh sayo, and all that good stuff. Welcome to my userpage. My name is Kristen, better know as Netty-chan. This account was previously known as Netsirk Izzotnaf, just so you all know. Sorry if that poses any sort of confusion for you. Anyways, this is my page, so please feel welcome to read anything you want.

If you read all the way through, then thanks for that! I've found that nobody really reads the userpages...but if you do, yay?

Updates

Here is where my updates will go. Just to help you guys keep up with what's going on!

Thursday, November 19, 2009~As some of you might notice, I've deleted two of my stories. These two stories have been deleted because they contain more personal details about my life and certain issues I'd like to keep to myself. The reason I am taking them down NOW is because I'm in a writing club at school that will be based here on FictionPress, and if anyone from SCHOOL read those stories I would feel utterly exposed. I'd prefer to keep it from the eyes of people that I interact with on a daily basis, for obvious reasons...

Anyways, I'm now in a writing club! Huzzah! Haha...Well, our first "project" is to write a Thankgiving story in a different time period, so that's what I'm going to concentrate on besides my initial objective of writing more of Flight. It will most likely be an extremely long one-shot, seeing as how I'm used to multichapter stories, though I'd like to keep it as a short story...

Well, I hope I update before then, but if not, Happy Thanksgiving! Turkey! Cranberry sauce!! 'Tis the best. You get to eat and gain weight without feeling bad about it.

As if I'm ever going to gain any weight, but you know what I mean. xD Haha ok I'd better go to sleep now before because it's ten twenty at night and I'm about to pass out I'm so exhausted.

Friday, October 23, 2009~Okay, so I was planning on writing chapter sixteen of Flight this weekend because we didn't have school today and the previous day because school was closed due to swine flu. Hooray for bacon sickness. Har har, just kidding, inside joke. Anyways. I actually ended up forgetting my notebook with the beginning of chapter sixteen at school, so now I'm ticked off at myself and I can't remember what the beginning is like. Therefore I must wait until Monday to retrieve my writings again. IN THE MEANTIME, I've been contemplating this new story idea and I think I might give it a try.

Sunday, September 27, 2009~I'm SOOO sorry for not updating at ALL lately. I've been busy with school and such so I apologize. In addition I've also been having writer's block so it's really difficult to get any writing in that I'm proud of. I hope to update Flight and other stories as soon as possible. Also, SecretAgent99 and I are planning on making a joint account. We have a few story ideas for that account as well, so stay tuned for updates!

Story Announcements

Friday, October 23, 2009- But Darling, He's an Angel- This is a new story idea I'm going to try out. :D review please? Lol

...Who am I? WHO AM I?!

Name: Kristen

Age: Fourteen

Religion: Christian, and proud of it

I am Netty-chan214 as of today, though you may have previously known me as Netsirk Izzotnaf. I am a fourteen year old girl who resides in a lovely little house in California. I will never release a picture of what I actually look like, just for your information. I would prefer to not get stalked. Anyways, I am to attend my first day of high school, as a freshman (well that's kind of redundant, isn't it? First day of high school...freshman...), on August twenty fourth, I believe. At least, that's what I remember. And I don't always remember the correct thing, mind you.

Take note that I am in Honors English, something I am very proud of. Being a good student is very important to me, therefore I am to be in most of the advanced classes. Not just on my parent's account, but my own. I like to push myself and see what I can do with my interests and/or talents. I love to read, write, draw, and play sports, in addition to many other things that I don't have the time to list. Reading is fascinating because you can dive into a whole 'nother world within a book. Writing is a passion, and something a lot of people actually don't know about me. My friend used to joke about me being a human dictionary, because I love to use a wide vocabulary, but I just laugh. I really don't have as good a vocabulary as some people. Now drawing, on the other hand, is something I am well known for, at least around school. My specialty is to draw anime/manga characters; you know, Japanese cartoons? Yes, those. Lots of people at school love to see my drawings, which makes me very happy. I enjoy having my artwork appreciated. Even then, though, I'm not nearly as good as I wish I could be. Thus I will continue to slave over my Wacom tablet until I improve...

Oh yes, sports! I like to run track, and I am planning to practice for cross country this fall. Hopefully I can find some time to go practice my endurance. It isn't very easy, considering I have to wait for days when both my parents don't have to work. Long story that I don't feel like telling. Anywho, I also love soccer, basketball, badminton, baseball/softball, swimming, and many other activities. Soccer is a fun sport for me because I don't have to worry about my hand. Oh, yes, by the way, my right hand is missing two parts: most of my index finger and parts of my middle and ring finger. Don't worry, it doesn't normally deter me from doing daily activities! Anyways, back to what I was saying. Soccer is a very fun sport, although my skills have become rusty over the years. I'd like to become better and try out for the team in high school. Basketball is actually a sport I'm not very good at. I'm very short and petite, so I get shoved around a lot, and my height just adds to the problem. Now I'm not saying that short people can't play just because of the fact that they are short. I'm simply implying that it adds to my problem. I do enjoy watching it, however, and just shooting hoops is quite enjoyable. Now badminton is a sport I actually never even thought about doing until seventh grade Physical Education class. I discovered I really enjoy the game, and I hope to get better just for the sake of getting better. I used to play baseball and softball as a little kid, but I haven't played much lately so I don't know if my skills have gotten rusty or if I'm still relatively okay at playing that. I used to swim, but once again my skills have gotten rusty, and I always need goggles. My eyes are particularly sensitive to the chlorine in the water of pools.

Ah, back to me. I am usually pretty upbeat about life, but sometimes I smile when I don't mean it. BAD ME! Haha. But seriously, there are reasons behind it...but obviously I'm not going to get into that on the internet. So I'm going to change the subject. Yay. SO. I'm usually known for being rather clumsy, seeing as how I trip over dust mites (ahem, nothing), but I'm actually pretty coordinated. I used to ice skate every day of the week (excluding weekends) for four to five years, and during the time I was more skilled I rarely fell at all. I quit ice skating after it became too bothersome for me to be at the rink every single day. I had just begun to learn my axel (a type of jump) and more advanced techniques. During my ice skating time I entered only one solo contest and won for my age catagory. I may return to ice skating someday, just for fun, but for now I'm content. Hmm...what else can I say about myself? Haha...I really don't like talking about myself. This has taken me a LONG time to think up and write. Talking about myself just seems kind of self-centered, you know?

And now it's time for...

Random facts about myself! (sounds a trumpet)

-I am obsessed with Asian music. You know, Korean, Chinese, Japanese.

-More particularly, I am COMPLETELY obsessed with a Korean boy band called Big Bang.

-From Big Bang, my favorite member is TOP, aka Tabi or Choi Seung Hyun. He is amazing. FEAR HIS AMAZINGNESS!!

-I have a dog named Presley, and, before you ask, I HAD a cat named Elvis. Elvis was a moron and ran away. End of story. I hated that cat.

-I love quotes, although I can never remember to copy them down for future reference.

-I love scary movies, even though when I watch them I cower in fear. I do watch them, though. I just hide most of my body from the television with a blanket and squeal at really creepy parts. Although I did laugh hysterically at the idea of somebody's wife stabbing him to death...Ahem. Anyways.

-I am trying (Cough, repeat, TRYING) to learn Chinese. After Chinese, I am learning Japanese and HOPEFULLY Korean, if my brain hasn't overloaded by then.

-I love my iPod Nano. It is pink. It is a pink iPod Nano.

-You know you want it.

-Muahaha.

-I am allergic to blue dye number one, some sort of tree in my neighborhood that I cannot identify, and the random pretty flowers at my school.

-I found a coin. It's worth two pesos.

-I love authors such as Ted Dekker, Frank Perreti (or however you spell his name, I didn't use a reference), Cornelia Funke, Scott W. (I'll have to edit that after I remember his last name), and other miscellaneous authors I can't remember at this point.

-My next 'victim' (as in the book I'm going to read next) is This Present Darkness, by Frank Perreti.

-I like the quote, "OH MY GAWD YOU JUST DID ALL THREE!!" Way too much.

-Just so you know, it's from Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian.

-I want a squirt gun. I want a squirt MACHINE gun.

-Ho ho ho, Green Giant~

Well, when I unearth something relatively new and interesting to write about myself, I'll post it. Thanks for reading, if you did!

About My Writings

I do enjoy writing very much, so I try my best to put out a good effort in every story I write. I have a tendency to take ideas from other books that I've read and incorperate them into my own stories, so if you notice any similarities between one of my stories and another book, don't be completely caught off guard. I do not intend to plagerize anyone; if I do use an idea from another book, I try to make it my own as much as possible.

Also (And I have not really checked this yet, but I'm pretty sure of it), some, if not most, of my characters are Mary-Sues. Though I try to make each of my characters more three dimensional, they will probably tend to be Mary-Sueish. But then again, aren't most characters sort of Mary-Sueish, when you think about it? Whatever. Anyways, if you think any of my characters are TOO Mary-Sueish, please tell me. I can definitely NOT guarantee that I will be able to change their characteristics, but it will be nice to know which characters seem too Mary-Sueish so that I can make my characters better as a whole.

Note that, as I am a proud Christian, I may or may not include some Biblical themes in my stories. If I do so, please do not feel offended by my views. If you can stand it, please read the story just as you would any other. If you cannot, then click the back button and pretend that you never set your eyes on the page. However most of the time I will leave my stories rather unaffected by my personal views, and if I do they will USUALLY be small little bits of input. And if a character of mine has a dirty mouth, it's not because I'm saying it's okay to have a dirty mouth. That particular character just isn't very classy. Capiche?

Most of my stories are based on my own imagination or dreams. If I think of something particularly interesting throughout the day, I will jot it down in my memory and perhaps make it into a story. I usually draw out my characters, first, then determine each character's part in the story. I often add things to the plot while I am in the midst of writing it. Sometimes, I add more characters, which leads me to create more frustration for myself. From there I create my stories.

As stated in the short paragraph above, I draw out my characters, first and foremost. Why? Because I tend to build my story around my characters. What was his past like, and how does it pertain to the storyline? How does she affect his life? How did he affect hers? What purpose is he/she doing this for? These are just a few of my questions I ask myself while creating characters within stories. I want them to feel real, as if they were tangible and could talk straight to you. I like to give them a personality, a view on life, an opinion on a situation different from another persons, etcetera. This, to me, is what creates vivid and memorable characters that will bring you to love them. Or hate them. Or sympathize with them. Or worry about them. Or grieve with them. It all depends on the character and how you can relate to it. And you can only really relate to a character when it has a personality all it's own. Now this doesn't mean I don't care about the plot. However, as said before, I build my stories mainly off my characters, so therefore as my ideas of the characters change, the plot tends to change. Usually the plot only has minor changes in which I hope to make it better. But there is rarely a story where I stick to my very first idea.

Well, there you go. That is a in-depth discription of my writings. I may add more or edit depending on new discoveries. Thanks for reading, if you did!

Reviews

Alright, I like reviews, but I'm not going to go screaming down your throat forcing you to write a review.

"GIMME A REVIEW YOU BUTT FACE"

"uhh...no...?"

"AHHHHHHHHHscreams and pulls out chainsaw"

Yeah. Eheh. I won't do that.

And oh yeah.

Don't flame me.

Or I WILL sick you with a chainsaw.

Just kidding.

Or was I?

The world may never know.

Character Bios

Note: This section is only for characters that will occur in more than one story, usually short stories. If a character is only special to it's particular story, it will not be here.
Example: Robyn from Flight would not be put here, because her character is specific and pertains only to her respective story.

Please take note that while characters may be based off of real people, they are not neccessarily just like those people. There might be and will probably be differences between the people and the character that represents them. I may very well take one aspect that I find about a person and accent it in order to show their personalities, but that does not mean they are actually exactly the same in real life.

Coming Soon!

~Welcome to the bottom of the Page~

Yay for you...uhhh...am I supposed to say something, here?

I don't really have any idea whatsoever.

Oh well! Thanks for reading my stories...if you did. Or are going to...

Aha. Never mind.

"OH MY GAWD YOU JUST DID ALL THREE!!"

Much Love to all of you,

Netty-chan
