I'm a music JUNKIE, particularly broadway but also Patti LuPone, Reba, Indigo Girls, Taylor Swift, and Michelle Branch.

I'm new to fictionpress, but I've been writing for FFN for several years (Harry Potter, Reba, Sweeney Todd, Musicals/Plays. Lots of romance and mostly f/f pairings). I'll very likely be writing a majority of romance fics and maybe a little bit of angst. But, there may end up being a fairly equal amount of romance and angst. I do have a tendency to add in traces of humor in my romance fics. I don't write a lot of poetry cause I was never really good at it, but I may post a few.

As my icon suggests, I'm LUPWNED. Patti LuPone is God's gift to music and I just ADORE her. (I'm just a little bit in love with the woman. Shame she's 60, straight, and happily married cause... Yea, I'm head over heels in love with her. Ah, well... I can dream. And I do!! C: ) She's FABULOUS! She was SO robbed at the 2006 Tony's. Her performance as Mrs. Lovett SO should have won her a Tony. And a Drama Desk.

Permission Series: Patti/Laura Series

~Permission: “I do not cheat on my Matty, he knows when I have sex with other people. He gives me permission beforehand. If he didn’t, I never would betray him like that. I love my husband.” "He gives you permission? What. About. Me?” This was getting very complicated.

~Consent: "You wanna know what happened with me and Laura? I broke it off because it was an affair. I fell in love with her, but I had to break it off because Matt would never give me permission. I called it off because Matt didn’t know about it. And now he does."

~Indulgence: “I hurt you? Patti, you cheated on me with a woman half your age!” “Don’t let him hurt me anymore,” Patti begged, her voice terribly small and childlike. Laura was shaking in anger. How dare he scare her to this point?! A grown woman-a strong woman!- cowering on the floor and crying in terror of her husband.

~Tolerance: Patti knew she loved Matt. He was her husband for twenty years and her lover and best friend for two years longer than that. But she loved Laura, too: this girl half her age that made her feel so much, so alive.

~Agreement: What about Matt?" “I don’t care,” Patti interrupted, “I don’t care, honey. I don’t care about Matt, I don’t care what people say… I just-I want to be with you.”

~Acceptance: Laura watched the pair, watched Patti fawning over the husband that had abused her since finding out about their affair, and couldn’t help feeling out of place. It made her wonder if she and Patti would ever be free of Matt.

Marry Me a Little: Patti/Laura Series

~Serious Conversation: “What kids, Patti?” she demanded. “We need to talk about this. You can’t just decide without talking to me, especially when it’s my body!”
She pressed her lips to Laura’s, giggling as she ran one of her hands up her lover’s side, “My body. My Laura."

~Hangover: “Shhh,” Patti winced. “Why are you yelling?” “I’m not yell-” Laura paused, mid-sentence. “Are you hungover? I have a much better hangover cure,” she smiled naughtily, moving the tray to the floor before leaning against the older woman.

~Marry Me a Little: “Marry me,” Patti breathed between kisses. “Wh-What? What did you say?” Tears sprang to Laura’s eyes and a timid, hopeful mile spread across Patti’s features. “So you will?”

~Closing Night: “You’re gonna leave a mark, Lo!” But Laura wanted to leave a mark. She was marking her territory. If Patti was going to be alone with Matt, she wanted him to know Patti was off limits. She wanted her smelling like sweat and sex and marked as hers.

~Cruising Together: She took a deep breath, facing her young lover again and caressing her cheek. “I’m not gonna hurt you, Laura. I’m in this for the long run. I just wish you were, too.” “Patti-” “No,” she shook her head, trying to pretend she wasn’t trembling.
