Hello. You know my user name so I won't bother with that. I like giving that name out for websites but my actual pen name is Siegfried Rair. I am a college student working on several different books. My current projects are Frozen Moment and Fire Wings. A second draft of FM is being worked on while I post the completed first version. I am roughly 1/3 done with the current draft of FW. I'm also working on an outline for Witch Hunt, the sequel to FM, but I'm not starting it until I'm all done with FM in case anything significant changes.

Every story is part of what I call the Atlandra continuity, Atlandra being the world where all but the Origin of the Elements series takes place. With the exception of that series they all follow the same rules of magic and contain the same geography. Since the stories are spread out over a very long period of time, some regions do change from story to story.

I have a DeviantART account under the name SnowCreek where I will sometimes post drawings of the characters in my stories. (Usually I post fanart, though.) In my gallery drawings related to my stories will be listed under "Original Characters"

Crazy - bonus story for the Origin of the Elements series
Siegfried only gave the girl who approached him a chance because he'd been accused of being violent. Had Lucia tried to talk to him at any other time her efforts would have gotten her killed. As luck would have it, it got her a job working in his camp instead. Determined to put his quite possibly insane fan girl to good use, Siegfried recruits her, first as a cook and later as a spy. Even if her obsession over him is maddening, there's no reason for him not to admire the effort she puts into impressing him.

Untitled - bonus story for the Origin of the Elements series
Lucia Sinclair only ever wanted what was best for her son. Even if it meant running away and leaving Cloud's father behind. Though she still hasn't completely given up hope of seeing him again, in a strange new place she has to focus her energy on young Cloud. Cloud is going to require a lot of energy too, since he's just come back from the hospital after getting into a fight that left him with brain damage.

Frozen Moment - book 1 of the Origin of the Elements series
Terra Lark is a fairly ordinary girl whose father just so happens to be the chief of police, meaning that whenever they need to hire a mage to deal with criminal magic users they go through him, and if he ever hires someone he's not sure of, then he makes it her job to check them out. Though usually just an annoyance, Terra's encounter with the oddball duo Marigold "Goal" Norman and Cloud Sinclair goes from weird to insane when they break a few rules trying to bring in a group of rogue mages and find plans to raise Zeviel, a mass murder from ancient times, from the dead. Thanks to Cloud destorying their credibility, they must cross the country and track down the ringleader of the revival plan. Helping them is Raven Villiers, another magic user who is on her way to the other side of the US (and more importantly owns a car), and Winter Albright, a surgeon with connections to the ringleader in question.

Adrian - bonus story for Beautiful Dream (not yet posted)
Despite leading a fairly charmed life, Adrian Desman has grown up with two heavy burdens. The first is that he is a dhampire, someone who received half the curse that should be inflicted by a vampire bite. While growing up in a rich mansion, he's been confined to it thanks to the fact that he enters a death like state during the day, and due to several vampiric traits in his appearance which cause trouble whenever he does go outside. The second is the knowledge that his twin, who received the other half of the vampire curse, was sent away after his parents deemed him the more dangerous of the two, despite being the one who could more easily pass as normal.

Ever since The Crash, a time when magic returned and all technology has stopped working, magic capable humans and other races have been in hiding. Tantalus, a half-breed who had been bred to try and aid in the recovery of magic, has spent his time since this event holed up in the ruins of the lab where he was born, and plans to sneak out with his friend Pia.

Bribe - bonus story for the Fallen Angel Trilogy
Used to a monotonous life taking care of the simple tasks that keep society functioning, Zephose has never set high expectations for himself. In fact, he goes out of his way to avoid a more thrilling life, though the idea of working in a temple, a poorly named army of magically enhanced creatures referred to as angels, has always sounded interesting to him. Having always kept his immense magic talent hidden to avoid having to work a more glamorous job, the only thing keeping him from signing up to be an 'angel' is his desire to remain with his beloved older sister Coral. Or course, every man has his price. When Zephose gets caught in a storm and washes up on a human beach one day the man who finds him is eager to try and recruit him for his country's temple, and the humans may have just what Zephose needs to be swayed.

Fire Wings - book 1 of the Fallen Angel Trilogy
After his mother died at war, Lunas wanted nothing to do with the Temple and their magically enhanced soldiers, known as angels. Unfortunately, the leader of the Temple has turned traitor. As there's no reason to keep many soldiers during times of peace, the Temple can't possibly chase after the fallen angel while still maintaining proper security. In a desperate attempt to remedy this they issue a draft and Lunas, the son of a talented angel, is one of the people they forcibly recruit. Along with his much more willing and slightly nature defying friend Jonah and a dragon-like girl who goes by the name Red, Lunas finds himself not only dragged into the military but also into the scandal that caused the draft in the first place.
