Name: Vic Taylor

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Located: Essex, England

I'm bisexual and tend to lean towards liking women.

I love all sports. At the moment I play for Tottenham Hotspur Ladies (in the adult team I might add, which is quite cool for a 15 year old). For those who don't live in England that's a pretty big team to be playing for. I'm a goalie and full back defender, and have had more than my fair share of injuries: chipped collar bones, cracked ribs, a broken nose, etc.

Even though I say so myself I'm a little accident prone. Not to mention all the injuries I mentioned above I've had countless stitches and broken bones. My favourite (for lack of a better term) to date is that I fall off a cliff (I really did, it was frightening) and I don't hurt myself at all, but I trip over my own feet (I do that a lot) and I break my foot. That's a true story and I still can't believe I got up from the cliff fall unharmed and was in bed for months over a trip!

Interests: football, writing, reading, wrestling, weight lifting, science fiction, gaming, the army

Favourite TV Shows: Doctor Who, Torchwood, Prison Break, Invasion, House MD, Lie To Me, NCIS

Hates: spiders, silence, needles, bells, homophobia, sexism

As of the 10th of November, 2009, I decided I am going to join the British Army. As of the 11th of November, 2009, I'm starting the 4 years I need to be clear of asthmatic symptoms to join. Hopefully, by then, the rules governing certain areas of the army as 'men only' will have changed, and I will be allowed to take up the role I immediately wanted when I looked I looked at the Army website: Infantry.

I fully support the men and women fighting for all of us in countries like Iraq and Afghanistan. It doesn't matter what the reasons are that we're fighting. The fact is that we are fighting, and if someone is willing to fight, and maybe die, for their country and the people back home, they shouldn't be looked down on. They should be regarded as heroes.

I also believe that everyone should be allowed to fight for their country, whether they are black, white, heterosexual, bisexual, homosexual, transsexual, religious, non-religious, male, or female. I am opposed to the American 'don't ask, don't tell' rule, as well as any military that does not give equal opportunities to both men and women, and the views the military hold about transsexual men and women. Everyone should have the right and be allowed the honour of serving their country.

Take a moment to read these quotes, and salute the brave men and women defending your country:

Neither enemy faces, nor the mothers that love them, come to mind when one is thinking of nothing but endeavouring to survive. Philosophising about war is useless under fire. -Linda Berdoll

Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country. -John F. Kennedy

Equal rights for all, special privileges for none. -Thomas Jefferson

You don't support the war?
I support the men fighting it. -Gibbs, NCIS

Call it love of country, call it sense of duty. What burns is pride. -Ari, NCIS

Works In Progress:

Three Small Dots - A number of prompt challenges, taken from uncompleted sentences I see lying around, as well as random moments of inspiration. This contains both short one/two-shots and poems.

This collection will be constantly updated if I am near a computer with an internet connection, averaging an update a day. Thank you to all you have read and reviewed this collection. Feedback is always welcome.

For Those That Serve - A collection of military one-shots and poems dedicated to all those brave men and women serving in countries like Iraq and Afghanistan, fighting so that we may remain safe.

I have just started this collection, dedicated to all present, past, and future soldiers, who risk their lives for the people back home. I hope to keep this going to all of the 4 years until I am permitted to join.

Different - I gave two and half years of my life to that school, those friends. I leave and I get nothing. Silent phones and door bells for the difference I have to them.

A 10 chapter, 2,914 word piece, simply detailing a teenager's friendship struggles, that I have personally gone through.

First they came for the Communists, and I didn’t speak up, because I wasn’t a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak up, because I wasn’t a Jew. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn’t speak up, because I wasn't a Catholic. Then they came for me, and by that time there was no one left to speak up for me.

~ Deitreich Bonhoffa

Homophobia:

I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian.
I am the prostitute working the streets because nobody will hire a transsexual woman.
I am the sister who holds her gay brother tight through the painful, tear-filled nights.
We are the parents who buried our daughter long before her time.
I am the man who died alone in the hospital because they would not let my partner of twenty-seven years into the room.
I am the foster child who wakes up with nightmares of being taken away from the two fathers who are the only loving family I have ever had. I wish they could adopt me.
I am one of the lucky ones, I guess. I survived the attack that left me in a coma for three weeks, and in another year I will probably be able to walk again.
I am not one of the lucky ones. I killed myself just weeks before graduating high school. It was simply too much to bear.
We are the couple who had the realtor hang up on us when she found out we wanted to rent a one-bedroom for two men.
I am the mother who is not allowed to even visit the children I bore, nursed, and raised. The court says I am an unfit mother because I now live with another woman.
I am the domestic-violence survivor who found the support system grow suddenly cold and distant when they found out my abusive partner is also a woman.
I am the domestic-violence survivor who has no support system to turn to because I am male.
I am the father who has never hugged his son because I grew up afraid to show affection to other men.
I am the man who died when the paramedics stopped treating me as soon as they realized I was transsexual.
I am the man who stopped attending church, not because I don't believe, but because they closed their doors to my kind.
I am the person who is afraid of telling his loving Christian parents he loves another male.
I am the boy tied to a fence, beaten to a bloody pulp, and left to die because two straight men wanted to "teach me a lesson".
I am the girl who fears for her girlfriend's life because her mother doesn't think she deserves to have it.
I am the girl who was told by her own mother that I shouldn't have kids because she would never wish that sort of 'messed up life' on innocent children.
I am the girl who's parents are ashamed of her, because she doesn't want to hide who she is.
I am the girl who's mother doesn't understand why I need to be who I am, when I could just pretend to be normal.

Re-post this if you believe homophobia is wrong. Please do your part to end it.

Gay Marriage:

1) Being gay is not natural. Real people always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, liposuction, and air conditioning.

2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Brittany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. Therefore it should never be allowed as all religions are always right.

9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans...

Re-post this if you believe in legalizing gay marriage.
