Author has written 2 stories for Sci-Fi, and Love.

Hi, I'm Daniel Chan. I have been writing stories ever since I was in elementary school and still love to write them today. Since a few years back I have been inspired by many various authors including Neil Gaiman, H.P. Lovecraft, Stephen King, Phillip K. Dick, and others. I also am heavily influenced by comic book writers such as Brian Michael Bendis, Robert Kirkman, and Frank Miller. My interests in the genres of fictions ranges from fantasy to sci-fi. I will, literally, read anything as long as it is good. For this reason I love to write about superheroes, vampires, and really anything as long as I think it is cool.

Favorite Books: American Gods by Neil Gaiman, A Scanner Darkly by Phillip K. Dick, Shade's Children by Garth Ennis, H.P. Lovecraft Tales by Library of America, Good Omens by Neil Gaiman, Stardust by Neil Gaiman, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke

Favorite Comics & Graphic Novels: A Midnight Opera by Hanzo Steinbach, Marvels by Kurt Busiek/Alex Ross, The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller/Lynn Varley, The Dark Knight Strikes Again by Frank Miller/Lynn Varley, Powers by Brian Michael Bendis/Michael Avon Oeming, Fell by Warren Ellis/Ben Templesmith, Ex Machina by Brian K. Vaughan/Tony Harris, All-Star Batman & Robin by Frank Miller/Jim Lee, Invincible by Robert Kirkman/Ryan Ottley, Top 10: The Forty-Niners by Alan Moore/Gene Ha

Books Currently Reading: Rosemary and Rue by Seanan McGuire

Comics Currently Reading: Many various ones...

What's Up?

Tuesday, October 20, 2009 - Well, it's literally been a year since I last updated my profile with anything of interest. I put up a poem entitled, "When Everything Went Wrong" which I hope is enjoyable. I am not exactly announcing that I am going to be active again. More like I am simply passing through. I hope you all don't mind that.

Monday, October 20, 2008 - I added Top 10: The Forty-Niners to my list of favorites Comic/Graphic Novel list. I bought it a couple of years ago and I have to say it was one of my first, more mature graphic novels that I ever bought. It had an excellent story by Alan Moore and the pencils by Gene Ha were amazing. You should definitely check it out as it really shows how great a comic can be even with a very impossible storyline. In other news, I am sorry I didn't do yesterday's two pages for Red & Revolver. I'll try to makke it up today with four pages(WOAH!). I am also going to the comic store today for the third time in a while to pick up a comic called Invincible(issue 53). So, that's all!

Friday, October 17, 2008 - I just put up the first two pages of a comic script I have been working on called Red & Revolver. Working with FictionPress's document editor is a bit of a pain and it completely messes up the format of your stories and scripts, which I forgot about. I am learning to work around it, although my scripts will suffer greatly from using FictionPress's document editor. If you want the original script files you can email me and I'll send them to you so you can see what they are supposed to look like. I am also working on another story which I am unsure as to whether I will be posting on here or not. I am thinking about submitting it to a web-zine to get some money but, we'll see how it goes.

Tuesday, October 14, 2008 - I just created my profile here at FictionPress today. Hopefully, I can find this story I have laying around somewhere in the house and put it up here for my first story. If not I will try to write something up. I am thinking of writing a script for a superhero comic I have been thinking about.
