ABOUT ME

I first began to write when I was ten years old and ever since I've done it for fun. I found this site and thought it would be a great way to get some of my writing out there in the public so I can get used to the idea of people reading my work so I can avoid all the dramatic cringes I'm over whelmed with when someone asks to read one of the stories I've written.

The genres I usually like to write are Drama, Romance, Horror, and Gothic. The author that inspires me is V.C. Andrews - that is, the original V.C., even though I give the Ghost Writer kudos ...

Nest of Snakes. The story centers around Audrina, a young aspiring painter who lives with her single mother and her twin brother Austin, who happens to be gay. Audrina and Austin's mother soon meets billionair Bartholomew Cobes, who immediately gets her to fall in love and marry him. Bartholomew whisks the tiny family of three to live with him and his family at his ancestral mansion. Tragedy strikes the twins when their mother mysteriously falls ill and dies, leaving Audrina and Austin alone in the dark and gloomy mansion to live with the Cobes family. There, the twins will come across a family filled with hate and darkness. Austin falls prey to aunt Flora's religious views and in love with her repressed son, Luke. Audrina is targeted by the jealous and evil Maggie, Aunt Flora's sociopath of a daughter. Just as Audrina begins to feel a wretching helplessness from being left alone with her brother to live with the sinister Cobes, in comes Jacob Casteel like a night in shining armor. He is the son of the head maid Geneve, and also happens to like painting. But unbeknown to Audrina, she's become the disturbing obsession of her step-father Bartholomew, who begins to take an unnatural liking to her.

I will begin writing Nest of Snakes in late August with the possible "publishing" date being sometime around November or December of this year. I am still working out the small details of the story such as character backgrounds, story lines, and whether to write the story in second person or third person (although I'm leaning towards the latter).

I'm really excited to begin writing this story because I think it'll grab the attention of a lot readers here on FictionPress. The characters in this story are taking form in my mind as days go by, which only adds to my urge to start writing this story that I've had in mind for over five years now. I would start writing now but my schedule is a little crazy what with me trying to pass this tough psychology course at school mixed with my crazy work hours on campus.
