Long time lover of fanfiction.net, here I am, ready to post original work.

I won't lie, I'm no Charles Dickens, but I promise to try my hardest if you will give me honest feed back. Fan fiction is about eating up praise, I think, but your real work should have to say something substaintial, something real about you. I realize I may never receive reviews for what I post. I'm alright with that. Just as long as I can say that I was not just the sum of someone else's imagination, I think I'll be just fine...

I will warn you that sometimes will use generators in some of my stories. But just in case I forget which generator was used where, I use the generators from Seventh Sanctum and Serendipity. If it looks like it came from them, it probably did. I have no shame in using them, they're great, useful tools for people like me, who get tired of having to come up with everything all the time on the spot. I encourage everyone to stop by those sites and give them a little credit.

The first story I'm posting here is actually one of a series I'm developing. Five different people in a world that sits uncomfortably close with ours. A priest, a thief, a merchant, a slave, and a queen. Fate has them crossing paths to change the fate of a doomed kingdom ruled by a cruel being whose powers are beyond all that you our I could ever hope to imagine, a being who seems immortal.

The questions will be asked of them: Can you overcome what you've been marked as? Can you stand up for what is right, even if you stand alone? Are you willing to fight for your way of living when everyone tells you that you don't belong? Are your beliefs strong enough to stand against even your own kind? Are you willing to give up who you are and what you're comfortable with to make a better life for people who despise you?

Questions that seem to be asked time and again in the faces of five.

For those of you who do read, even if you don't review, thank you.
