Author has written 6 stories for Young Adult, Life, General, Family, and Love. Name: Karina, well, not really, but that's my "German name" in school which I got to choose it from a list of 100. Isn't it pretty, though? Age: Quite unimportant. Younger than 99 but older than 1. Reasoning behind the penname: During the school year, I take either 25 hours of dance a week. (no kidding. Dancergirl51 dances. Wow.) I am obsessed with dancing, yes, I'll admit it. I take two tap classes, two jazz classes, two ballet classes, a Pointe class, and I am in my studio's Dance Company. I also have eleven plus classes that I help teach. (Yeah, I teach! That's a laugh.) I teach for 12 of those hours on one week, and then 5 on the other week. Teaching, as well as getting your Pointe shoes, and getting into the advanced classes gets you major respect... Oh, and now I am in my school's dance squad, so that adds at least another hour and a half a week, plus, I am wiped out from gym. Who invented running? Oh yeah. And 51 is a nice number. Oh, and in case you couldn't tell, from all the slang and lingo (actually, I'm not that bad, I've got some grammatical standards.) I am AMERICAN. Special Information about me: (aren't you lucky?) I play the piano pretty well, (doing Level 5, maybe 6, next year, when level 6 is the highest) viola, well... I'm okay..., I sing, in the safety of my shower (NOT in public), and dance. Favorite Hobbies: Dancing! (duh!) Reading, Writing, playing the piano, etc. Favorite Period in School: Yeah, right. Favorite and school will never be in the same sentence together. Never. Just like I will NEVER be up at 5 am. Got that, Starrywolf? Favorite Comfort Foods: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream! Favorite colors: Yellow, Blue, Purple, and Turquoise. (My grandpa once said that whenever he saw the color yellow, he thought of me because I was so cheerful. What happened? lol.) Favorite Movies: where to begin? Pirates of the Carribbean 1, 2, and 3, X Men 1 and 2, NOT 3, Step Up 1 and 2, Disney movies: Mulan, Cinderella, Lion King, etc., then, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Billy Madison, and I could honestly go on forever and ever... My Writing Style: is pretty infrequent. I am a grammar Nazi on the ever-so-rare occasion. My writing style is also... typically... American. I write like I talk. Which is both good, and bad. Sometimes annoying, though. Favorite Books: Twilight Saga by the wonderful Stephenie Meyer, Poison Study (and Magic Study and Fire Study) by Maria V. Snyder, Tattoo by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, I'd Tell You I Love You But Then I'd Have To Kill You series by Ally Carter, Secret Society Girl, Under the Rose, Rites of Spring (Break), and Tap and Gown by Diane Peterfreund, the Marked series by P.C. Cast and Kristen Cast, and Vampire Academy, Frostbite, and Shadowkiss by Richelle Mead! Favorite Quotes: "Laugh and the world laughs with you; weep, and you weep alone." ~Ella Wheeler Wilcox "I have CDO. It's like Obsessive Compulsion Disorder, only it's alphabetical order like it should be." ~Spike Donner "If to dance is to dream, then I shall make your dreams come true." ~Unknown "People will accept your ideas much more readily if you tell them Benjamin Franklin said it first." ~David H. Comins Quotes from my life: "I'm rich, rich, RICH!" "Chill, Karina, it's Monopoly." "Who says you can't go home?" (singing aloud) "Karina, if you continue singing, you won't go home." (lovely brother driving me home...) "Sometimes the words we want to say are waiting on the tip of our tongues, waiting to be spoken. Sometimes you know what they are. Whenever you don't, you say something you don't mean. Either that, or you have diarrhea of the mouth." (Me, apologizing) "My bologna has a first name, it's O-S-C-A-R. My bologna has a second name it's M-A-Y-E-R. Oh, I like to eat it everyday, and if you ask me why, I'll say-" ~ Dancergirl51 ~ aka Karina ~ | |||||||
