Author has written 12 stories for Young Adult, Romance, General, Humor, and Thriller. I AM LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO HELP ME EDIT "WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE." IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, SEND ME A PM. Aristotle said: "Criticism is something we can avoid easily by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing." My name is Amanda. I am 15 and a sophomore in high school. I talk too much according to some people and I talk too little according to others. I am very opinionated and it is somehow intimidating to guys (and girls for that matter). I will fight for what I believe in and I am not afraid to do it. Don't believe me? State your opinion on an issue and I will debate you over it. Death penalty? Abortion? Religion in school? The influence that television and underweight models have on children? What really is in the school's chicken patties? The best musical ever created? Which came first, the chicken or the egg? I have an opinion and I'm willing to share it. (By the way, it was the chicken.) Likes: Stale graham crackers. Popping bubble wrap. Huge storms with thunder that rattles the windows. Parler francais. Chinese food. Movies, movies, movies. Songs that make me want to scream and dance around my room, they are just that inspiring. People who do the right thing because they want to. Not being stalked by creepy guys on my bus. Waking up to a fresh snowfall. Dancing in the rain. Randomly interjecting french into everyday conversation. Learning new words. People who can dance in a way that is so beautiful it hurts. The first day of spring. Children's laughter. Friendship. Stumbling across an unheard of book and deciding that it is simply marvelous. Blasting country music and singing along. A great PB and J with a glass of cold milk. Vacuuming with music on, dancing until I trip over the cord. Yelling "tais-toi!" at my dogs and then laughing when they actually stop barking. Dislikes: The way a straw sticks out of your pop when you first fill up the glass. People who waste their lives because they refuse to show who they really are. Seafood. Bratty children, or bratty adults for that matter. People who refuse to have an opinion, or mock you because you actually care about something. Stubbing your toe in the dark. GRAMMAR ERRORS. People who refuse to help themselves. People who refuse to ask for help. Movies that could have been really good, but weren't. Thinking there is one more stair than there actually is, and then stumbling. PEOPLE THAT DON'T REVIEW (hehe). But most of all, writer's block: the ultimate evil. Wants: To someday experience pure bliss. To fly like a bird. To be able to say what I am thinking without caring who hears. To be able to do what I love for the rest of my life. To get into Heaven. To make a nonbeliever believe. To convince someone to change their life. To be the voice of goodness and reason in someone's mind. To be the person my dog thinks I am. To be the person that people go to when they need help, or just an ear to talk to. To be able to read minds. To one day be able to use my mother voice on my own children. To finally be able to figure out how on earth you turn my dad's TV on. To be loved wholeheartedly. To be able to explain the pure joy of a Friday morning. To figure out what is important in life. To become the best person I can possibly be. To do something totally crazy. To overcome my OCD when it comes to eating spaghetti. To be able to play the piano really really really well so that I make some other sap like me want to cry. To travel the world with a garden gnome (and yes, you read that right) . Books That I Love (and you should too!):The Truth About Forever- Sarah Dessen. The Lucky One- Nicholas Sparks. Harry Potter Series- JK Rowling. Pink Angels series- Lurlene McDaniel. The Hunger Games and its fantastic sequel, Catching Fire. The Princess Bride. Where the Red Fern Grows. Just Like That. ZigZag. The Host- Stephanie Meyer. This Lullaby- Sarah Dessen. Just Listen- Sarah Dessen. Maximum Ride series- James Patterson. Jason and Kira. No Shame, No Fear (just don't read the sequel- it is a disappointing waste of time). Bad Kitty (this book is hilarious. like laugh out loud while you are reading hilarious.) My Sister's Keeper. Perfect Chemistry. They Poured Fire On Us From the Sky (a horribly sad true story about the Lost Boys of Sudan). Music: Tim McGraw. Jason Aldean. Rascal Flatts. Taylor Swift. Carrie Underwood. Coheed and Cambria. Linkin Park. Adele. Brad Paisley. Kenny Chesney. Keith Urban. Diamond Rio. Journey. Dierks Bentley. The District. The Dixie Chicks. Levi Kreis. Beyonce. Paramore. Sara Barellies. Skillet. Thousand Foot Krutch. THE SOUNDTRACK FROM AUGUST RUSH (Honestly, the music is so beautiful that I want to cry. It's sort of embarassing.) Sugarland. Teddy Geiger. Pretty much anything else. My Stories: Okay, so just a quick thing about my stories. You may have realized that I am in the middle of million and one of them. This is so that if I get writer's block, I can still write. And also, I come up with more ideas that I physically have time to write. So I start these stories that don't get updated very often. The poems that I have I just randomly wrote, so I don't know what to say as to when to expect more of them! If you like my stories, I also have a few on fanfiction.net. You can find my profile there at http://www.fanfiction.net/~musicismyweakness, so tell me what you think! Thanks so much :D | |||||||
