ribbons: derek falcon - falcon for short - is a sophomore at a prestigious college. it's a small campus that has a lot to offer for falcon. majoring in painting, he finds some of his best ideas in the forest that rests behind the art building. and one day, he discovers a girl with ribbons in her hair. it's as if she belongs in a fairy tale. he sketches her and his next class, she's sitting behind him. with a name like serafina, falcon knows that she's no ordinary girl. and with permission, he spends his afternoons painting pictures of her in her natural environment...an environment that most humans don't live in. then one night, he uncovers her secret and together, they try to find a way to keep their blossoming relationship alive. a longer short story that involves fantasy.

so, not much has been happening recently when it comes to life in general.

well, except for the mini argument i had with my mom.

have any of you guys heard of 4chan? well...i was on it yesterday, and there was this game you would play. you would roll (post) and with the last two digits of your post number, you would look at this image. the image was this large list of phrases. whatever phrase you got, you had to post as your facebook status. well, lucky me, i got the phrase that said 'nobody fucking cares about me. i'll be killing myself now.' however, right after i changed my status and delivered (took a picture of proof for 4chan), i wrote under my status 'haha. 4chan is stupid' or something along those lines.

immediately, my cousin messaged me, asking if i was okay. i told him what it was (he's 20-ish) and he laughed at it. my friends understood what was going on and they joked about it too. however, my mom's friend called her and told her about my status. i completely forgot all of the people who checked out my profile because well...there are a lot of people.

so, my mom freaked out. but i told her about it and she said to 'never do it again'. yeah, okay. only if the status is that bad...

anyways, i have my driver's test on december fourth in mays landing. pretty excited, honestly. everybody passes.

um...you all need to read parallel redux by the lovely lamouette83, a.k.a. lexi. i love her so much. it's a beautiful story so far. and it gave me an idea to drastically redo nathaniel charming. instead of it being studentxteacher, it would simply be two students. but it would include some angst and would have a few of the cute scenes that are in nc. and maybe, instead of sarah, the boy would already be dating some girl and he would cheat on her.

i don't know. what do you think?

i'm putting ribbons on hold for now. i'm writing it all out in my new journal, and as i reread it, i realized just how much i hate chapters six and seven. so, i'll be redoing them. plus, i thought of a new idea or two, and i'm brainstorming those.

i leave florida in two days. :(

so, the firefly princess has been deleted. i really don't like how it came out. but i've decided to work on ribbons. i'm not entirely sure about nanowrimo, but my readers should be happy that i'm writing anyways, right?

i'm leaving for florida tomorrow. six days of fun in the sun...and papers to write. D

so.

i failed my driver's test.

waited there for half an hour...two minutes in...FAIL.

thinking back on it now, it's hilarious. i don't even know how i didn't feel the car go over the curb. the guy was so fat...he must've absorbed the feeling. i felt terrible on the way to school after the test, but when i talked about it to other students, they dealt with the same guy and said that he was a complete asshole.

so. good news.

i'm going to a different town's driver's test and then my mom and i will be going shopping.

funfunfun.

the firefly princess is up. and i might work on a bit of ribbons tonight.

i deleted call me.

when i had started working on it, i thought that it was this amazing concept. but by the time i started writing more and more, the story just became completely unrealistic, the wording wasn't right, and well...i don't like it anymore. maybe i'll come back to it one day, but i've said that before about nathaniel charming and stories that i can't even remember the titles of.

so don't be disappointed if call me never comes back.

just be glad that i'm not in a slump and that i'm writing ribbons and working on starting the firefly princess.
