I thought I saw your portrait
In the rolling, midnight sea
But it was really seaweed
Just staring up at me

I thought I heard your voice
In the whistle of the breeze
But the gentle little whisper
Was just a gust within the trees.

Alone she stood, she stood alone
In an empty hall.
She had no one to talk to, text,
She had no one to call.

And as she stood all by herself
The tears began to flow.
She felt a burden in her heart
Of which she needed to let go.

Then all at once she heard the sound,
and on her shoulder was a hand,
and in a soft kindhearted whisper
She heard, "I understand..."
