August 14, 2009: I'm writing a little again, though I regret to inform my readers that it is not Defiance. I've removed it for personal reasons that are explained in my A/N and under its section. I will continue to write and update some of my other stories, though. I've begun a project that I hope will eventually replace Defiance for my readers - and appeal to everyone.

August14, 2009: (R.e.m.o.v.e.d) I've decided to pull Defiance down for a number of reasons, and will not be reposting it on Fp. August 14, 2009: (Hiatus) Despite having most if not all of the plot written down, I can't seem to sit down and write this story. However, do expect it to be completed before "Perfect By Nature" as this story is quite unique to me. I guess I'm a supernatural girl at heart and since this is simply a romance it hasn't held my interest - but have no fear! I will update this sometime, and it will be worth reading. I want to expose Vicki to the world! xD!

Elena Delacruz has always led a fairly ordinary, laid-back lifestyle. Her best friend is her nextdoor neighbor, her grandmother raised her and she's been dating the boy of her dreams for two whole loving years. Yet, at the end of her Junior high school year she is sent away for her summer vacation to spend some much needed time with her Aunt and two cousins. Leaving behind the woman who raised her, and the man who loves her. Elena would never have thought that the short trip to Brighton, Colorado would change everything she knew about living - and most importantly loving.
