Author has written 7 stories for Romance, Thriller, Historical, Essay, Sci-Fi, and General.

Hi. I'm Rachel. Welcome to my home. That's right, I live in a fictionpress. Well, that's not true. I live in a house, but I spend so much time here I might as well. So, I'm a musician from Texas with plans for a degree in virology. I also write stories. Enjoy.

I have been writing here for over a year--wow! But I don't feel like anyone really KNOWS me, and that's not cool, since I'm not one of those aloof writers. SO, I made a little intro! And here it is!

A note to my reviewers: I love you guys. I really do. I wanna bake you all cookies and send them to you. But I can't bake, and they'd be really nasty by the time they got to you all anyway. So, instead, I try really hard to reply to everyone. However, sometimes I'll actually go to the reply page, see something shiny, and leave the room for a few hours, never remembering that I didn't actually type it out. So...if that happens, throw a stapler at me. Metaphorically. Because, a) that would hurt, and b) that would require you knowing where I live, which would be creepy. I love you guys, but not that much. But yeah. If I forget to grace you with one of my overly-enthusiastic replies, please know that it was probably an accident, and you're still my favorite.

What's going on with me...

01.19.10: Oh, 476 readers are gonna hate me. MORE than the fact that it's been a month since I updated. I started Fragment. Which is my literary baby. The one I'm going to try to get published. It's not the silly romantic comedies you're used to seeing from me, but I love it deeply, so I IMPLORE YOU TO RECONSIDER (lol, Kung Pow reference) and have a look?

If anyone's interested in talking to me for whatever reason, here's a few places I can be found. I check them all pretty equally.

The In-Progress Stories:

Fragment - They were all that was left of humanity. A fragment, a splinter, greatly diminished. They were a few thousand, stranded on an inhospitable planet billions of light-years from Earth. He was an outcast, shunned by the remainder of the population. He was a disappointed idealist, a repressed intellectual, and a frustrated genius. When he encountered a man from beyond the stars, though, it turns out that he might be humankind's greatest...only...hope. If he can travel far from human holdings, to the heart of unexplored enemy territory. To uncover the secrets of the planet that call Broken Promise. (Slow slash. OMG PLOT.)

476 C.E. - Rome France isn't doing too well. With a useless BA in philosophy, he's jobless, penniless, and alone. Just when it seems his life can't get any worse, a call from an old friend from high school (current rock star) gives him an out, because October West wants Rome to play the keyboard in his band. With nothing to lose, Rome accepts. And that's just the beginning. Now he's got new band members to bond with, fans, and a whole plethora of people reminding him that Rome is in Italy. It's pretty crazy, but as long as Rome remembers to take his meds, everything should be just fine...right? (Slash) Rough character references

Various oneshots doth also be in existence.
