Welcome to my profile! My name is Danu Freya Ritchie. I am an avid writer, in hopes of becoming a famous author in the future. My writing usually is set in the 1850's, or sometime in the past circa that time. I usually write historical fiction, mixed with action, romance, and adventure, but occasionally I will get a random idea for something different. My works in progress are not especially on this site, but I will give an update on this page as to what some of my 'newest' ideas are.

-Currently working on the fifth chapter to Art of Vengeance; a novel of piracy, passion, and revenge.

-Recently got an idea for a plotline set in the Sahara desert in the 1840's. The main character is a girl, and her father is an ambitious explorer in search of a 'gossiped about' treasure at the heart of the desert. He hires a band of native 'nomads', the Tuareg's, to guide him and his explorer accomplices to find the treasure sought after. The Tuareg's have a leader, and this leader gives his 'under cover' spies (the men employed by the explorer) to kill the english troupe. Were it not for the main character's love for a young Tuareg, a great deal of luck in the form of misfortunate events that prevent their deaths, and the inner struggle of the young Tuareg who throughout the story begins to fall for the girl- there is betrayal at the end that saves the explorers' lives.
